I loved their frienship, they had many up and down but their bond was still strong. But from the moment Blair began a relationship with Dan, i think that their frienship changed, it broke something. It was not really the same after that.

Poeple underestimate Serena so much while she carried a lot beginning with Blair. She is naturally self confident and she is a great responder and communicator. With time, I choose her over Blair who was stucks on power and obsessive love.

Y’know.. It’s a real shame the creators gave up and bailed on this show after season 2 and the writing went down the toilet..Because these characters are extremely interesting and actually really multidimensional if you really take the time to understand them. I have always loved both Blair and Serena equally because I see all sides of them. People are so quick to hate Serena, but I love that she started the show wanting to better herself but not really having the guidance on how to do it. She was sunshine, and naturally attracted attention and love (even if people only looked at her bright surface) and most of the time she didn’t ask for it and it’s not her fault people are drawn to her effervescent personality. Blair on the other hand doesn’t emote that natural warmth and because she has such deep seated insecurities and a need for love, she takes it through power and making herself feared. She also loves Serena more than almost anyone because she gives her that unconditional love however it’s also hard for her to see her effortless popularity by just being herself when she has to work so hard for it. But they see all sides of each other as well and that’s why I love seasons 1&2 so much, because the show made their relationship it’s heart and really developed all the layers of their characters.

Serena a réellement aimé blair mais blair était toujours jalouse de serena , de sa beauté, de son succés dans le fait d'avoir l'amour et l'admiration de tous et voulait toujours passer devant elle... même des fois en voulant la détruire et cela n'etait vraiment pas pure!! J'aime l'authenticité de serena et même si des fois je n'adhére pas et je n 'approuve pas ce qu'elle peut faire par amour ou par excés de colére mais elle n'a jamais cherché à faire de blair une fille ridicule au contraire de blair... serena se défendais toujours contre ses jalousies excessives!!! Sooo voilà pour moi le personnage de blair était toxique, même si j'adorais la voir se battre pour ses rêves mais dans la plupart du temps elle obtenaot ce qu'elle voulait aux dépends des autres et par la manipulation et cela ne la dérangeais pas de détruire ses amis.. (même serena pouvaait souffrir de sa haine)

I don't think they were good friends. Blair was always competitive and jealous. Serena was sometimes jealous, but I always saw Blair as a bully. I mean she was, plus she was very childish and immature. But both were pretty toxic.
