My TBR is finishing off the stormlight archive. I was so scared to read it because some people said that the first book was boring until 700 pages, but I fell in love with it instantly. I’m addicted lol.

please please please keep in mind that percy jackson is made for elementary/middle grade kids!! it’s so sad to see older people read it and dislike it because of the writing when that’s what made it so readable to younger kids, which are the target audience.

I tried reading the series back when I was around 11/12 years old. I managed the first one but gave up with the second book because I did not like the writing style, however, I’ve been wondering if this was due to the translation or the original text.

I always keep in mind about reading middle grade that i’m not the intended audience! people who judge the writing who aren’t the intended age category confuse me 😂 but i’m excited to just reignite my inner child and explore a whole new world!

omg I never thought I'd hear chinese dramas talked about on booktube! I hope you enjoy Word of Honor; the dynamic between WKX and ZZS (and best boy Cheng Ling, ofc) is INCREDIBLE 😍 someone else in the comments recommended The Untamed, which I also loved, but imo the chemistry in Word of Honor is just unbeatable

I moved so fast to put She Who Became the Sun on my TBR! I don't have much of a reading list myself, but these are my top three: A Little Devil in America by Hanif Abdurraqib, Minor Feelings by Cathy Park Hong, and Lost Wax by Jericho Parms (I'm a fiend for essay collections)

I have nearly finished Parachutes by Kelly Yang and it is definitely underrated I would recommend that you add to your tbr. It has a MeToo aspect to it. Some of the books I am planning to read in Summer are: Felix Ever After by Kacen Callender. A Dowry of Blood by S.T. Gibson. The Henna Wars and Hani and Ishu's Guide to Fake Dating by Adiba Jaigirdar. In the Ravenous Dark by A.M. Strickland. Perfect on Paper by Sophie Gonzales. loll literally put the decagon house murders on my tbr !! mmm a summer book recommendation would be somewhere between bitter and sweet by laekan zea kemp, which i read a few months ago and gave five stars! it's a contemporary YA with latine characters; a novel about love- love of food and the making of it, love of a community who uphold each other, love of family and the weight of it, first love, and the love our minds make difficult to show to our own selves. trigger warnings for mentions of self-harm, anxiety, and depression tho! a book off my summer tbr is these feathered flames by alexandra overy, which was pitched as a YA retelling of russian folklore with court politics of twin sister hiers and a f/f enemies to lovers romance!!

The Song of Achilles is probably my favorite book of all time, so I'm so excited to read She Who Became the Sun, but also a bit nervous. I'm also looking forward to reading Not My Problem by Ciara Smyth, The Heart Principle (The Kiss Quotient, #3), One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston, and The Sky Blues by Robbie Couch. And of course there are a ton of backlisted books I really want to get to as well.

Grad school is fun. 😂😂 I'm doing library science because 1. Library work is FASCINATING. And 2. I hate the interpretation aspect to being an English major. It made me dislike reading for awhile there. The fact that I still do it habitually while reading makes me so angry. I truly do hope it all goes well for you, though. Brain stretching is fun!!!!! I love Interview!! I'm in the middle of the series right now- currently reading the 5th book. Most fans says the initial trilogy is the best and so far I agree but I'm also just here for following Lestat and the other characters. It's crazy how much Interview impacted vampires and vampire lore in pop culture! I was watching The Vampire Diaries for the first time when reading Interview and I was like, wow! okay, yeah- Anne Rice is the blueprint! Then I proceeded to watching video essays on how it changed the landscape of vampire fiction. And I absolutely love how nonchalant the characters attractions and romantic and sexual relations are!

OMG! KING! I AM BEYOND EXCITED TO SEE YOU READ PERCY JACKSON! This summer I wanna try and read two books a week, if I can't manage, I'll try and read two books one week, and one book another week. I am glad to hear that you will be reading Interview with the Vampire. A long time ago I watched the movie first and loved it which made me read the book. I have read all those books up to The Vampire Armand. Someday I will go back to her series. I didn't care for the fourth book which was The Body Thief, it was for me at the time too slow and when I read it I was a teenager. For this month I did take a book from your last upload, I believe, and it was The Travelling Cat Chronicles. I am already on page 25. For the rest of the month I am reading Fable by Adrienne Young which is my Buzzwordathon book, plus perfect for summer, Horrorstor by Grady Hendrix, A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid, Bird Box by Norman Malerman, The Infinity Courts by Akemi Dawn Bowman, and The Cheerleaders by Kara Thomas. That's most of them, I feel I am leaving out one or two. Enjoy your books this month and congratulations as well as good luck earning your master's degree. 😊❤️❤️❤️

Love these selections!! My current plans for the Summer (though it'll be Winter here haha) are catching up on Casey McQuiston, the Kyoshi books, Adiba Jaigirdar's books too because I absolutely love the concepts and catching up on some TBR vets that I've had on my shelves for a million years like Shadow and Bone, and Eliza and her Monsters :D

My friend and I are doing a re-read of the Vampire Chronicles series this year and it's reminding me how much I love it!! Interview is good but the next one, The Vampire Lestat, is def my favorite. I think Lestat is close to being one of my favorite literary characters of all time

I'm so excited for you and your educational journey. Getting a masters changed my life and I hope it does the same for you. I'm excited to see what you end up writing. Interview with A Vampire is really good but the 2nd book in the series Vampire Lestat is my favorite. Lestat is the best villian to love to hate. I can't wait for Hani and Ishu! I have it coming through my library app in a week! Being bi is definitely hard. Bi-erasure is real and as we head into June I hope to be able to read more books with bi representation among others. Omg, Le Morte De Arthur has been a work in progress for me for ages! It's good, but Ibfu d the French to English translation a it challenging. I love Interview with a Vampire 🧛‍♂️😍 If you get the chance, I reccomend the whole series. Definitely a favorite!

This edition of le morte d’Arthur is soooooo beautiful omg... really makes me want to read more folkore and more ‘ancient’ classics... Also, if you want a sci fi rec: you should check out winter’s orbit by everina maxwell (murder mystery + political conspiracy + slow burn romance, it’s really good!)

I just bought The Final Empire today and I’m really excited to get into it!! This summer I’m planning on finishing The Poppy War trilogy and the Scythe trilogy, and I also really want to read The Ones We’re Meant to Find (I love sci-fi/dystopian!) and She Who Became the Sun, because The Song of Achilles still haunts me. 🥲

Final Empire is soooo good. I’m almost finished and it’s excellent. The writing is really calm and basic, but it works really well for the story

Word of Honor is amazing! If you have not yet seen it, then also watch the Untamed - It's absolutely gorgeous😍 Also, what an amazing TBR - She Who Became the Sun goes right on my TBR!❤️ You'll not be disappointed by Rick Riordan's works, Percy Jackson has been such a huge part of my childhood and is still to this day the book series that I re-read the most.

I also have not read Percy Jackson yet, and I need to get on it. I just bought The Seed Keeper by Diane Wilson, from what I understand it's an Indigenous story about healing and discovering your roots. I've heard some really amazing things about it and I'm excited to read it! I also got City and Brass and I'm reading An Ember in the Ashes right now and loving it! The book I will forever recommend since reading it earlier this year, is Firekeeper's Daughter by Angeline Boulley! If you haven't read it, it's such a gorgeous book!
