Mirage Music There's a deleted scene from Creed where Rocky is talking to Adrian at the cemetery and he talks about how he talked to his dad on his death bed. Pretty interesting, because I have watched all the Rocky's atleast 100 times since I was a kid. And I don't re him mentioning anything about his dad. For those who think that technology is used only for things like social media or online entertainment, I offer the idea that if one can create memories of loved ones in the psyche of human and technological mind, they cease to die, and instead live on when we press the play button.

Rocky lost his father in III, lost his best friend in IV, lost all his $ in V, lost his wife in VI. He even gets cancer in 'Creed'. So, it's eerily prophetic what Mickey says: Rocky HAS become Mickey. That is why he NEEDS Donnie in 'Creed' I/II. He wouldn't be alive if he didn't have the motivation to see Donnie succeed 😃😃😃😃
@hedgehog1965uk
@hedgehog1965uk 5 лет назад
@@josealdana7119 Totally right. Don't forget, he had also lost his other best friend (oldest friend) in Creed. Of course Stallone lost his son Sage in 2012, so he really does understand loss. This scene was inspired from Mike Tysons late great trainer Cus D'amato. Mike was getting ready for the Olympic trials and an interview was done on both of them a few things were changed but alot of the emotional content was kept in this scene. The part where he says nature is smarter than people think always gets me especially how Rocky repeats it. This scene always pulls on the heart strings.

The movie wasn't the best, but this scene was one of the most iconic in the series. I come to this video when im feeling down. Ive had a fragmented family, and been by myself for the longest time along with other issues that make it hard to live sometimes. The sense of family and the words Mickey says in this scene gives me warmth and inspiration. We should be grateful for these types of people in our lives. In a way we are all living for each other as well.

This Rocky is the most vulnerable and humanized/relatable narrative, in the series, in my opinion. I mean this scene alone, speak volumes to that, I feel. So, to your point... totally- I'm here, right in this moment, needing to hear Mick's message and remind myself that we're all connected and that connection and love and caring is what we should all really value. I feel it and I hope there are some of you out there that are valuing it, as well!

One of the greatest moments in this franchise. Honestly made me cry bc it reminded me of my grandfather. The mannerisms and the rasp in his voice were a lot like Mickey. I spent alot of time with my grandfather as a kid my old man was never around, I can remember my grandfather's raspy voice from smoking Camel non filters, he was a nine time Golden Gloves champion at 155-60 lbs. He fought all over but started in Des Moines, Iowa after my great grandparents brought my family over from Ireland and Scotland. I can remember him teaching me how to throw punches against the flat pal.s of his hands when I was about four. Crazy cuz in the last year's hr was a shrivelled up gray balding old man, still smoking Camel's dying of cancer. So I can really appreciate your story my friend.

Even if you don't like the Rocky movies or never boxed, you can really appreciate scenes like this as a man. Boxing really is a metaphor for life in a lot of ways. The heart breaks (knockdowns), Divorces (tough losses), debilitating health issues (losses that we never recover from) etc... In the end we all lose, but if we can open our eyes we ultimately have the will within us to continue and fight on.

i think sly knows for sure the amount of soul and artistic effort that is served in this film but he tends to go with the general public flow , ROCKY 5 for me and many others is one of the best in the series no doubt , the thing is when the movie released people already where anticipating another light pop corn action like 3 & 4 , this comeback to the original roots shocked them so they gave the film a bad reputation while the movie it self is amazing , if i want to add anything to it it would be just a match between rocky and Tommy in the ring , that is all

When I had Covid19 last year in April and by God's good grace I got the worst of it as my three kid's and my wife had it before me. That wicked virus nearly took my life on two separate occasions and for whatever reason this would keep coming to mind. I remember I would watch this on my tv as laid there with aches so extreme it hurt to even breath much less move. I had a persistent fever of over 100.2 for over 5 days and whenever I felt at my weakest and when I thought I had NOTHING more to give I would play it and it would motivate me. My wife and I will never forget this saw me on a Saturday at my absolute weakest and I was watching it on tv sitting on my recliner with a fever that I had prayed to got to not allow to have because I had nothing left in the tank. My wife saw me and said you fought for you and then for me , she then called my three boys downstairs and said crying today you fight for them and pointed at them. I remember looking at them and all I swear I heard Mickey saying that to me personally. We lived through that and by God's good graces and I am here today and I would be lying if I didn't say that watching this clip didn't help because it did help me....it gave me motivation when I needed it the most. I will forever be grateful.

I don't care what anyone says or thinks about the Rocky movies, they've got much,much deeper meanings other than Stallone beating other boxer's up!, there's so many touching and moving parts in the storylines,when Mickey died in the movie,and Sly breaks down in tears,man,that was powerful stuff, really people don't appreciate Sylvester Stallone,he to me is an acting great,and I genuinely mean that.All of The Rocky movies were just superb,huge respect to all of the actors and actresses who appeared in them.

To me it hasn't really been that way.I refuse to see my family for the last 2 years because they are problematic and just fight each other all the time,we knew each other because we were biologically related we didn't chose it,thats why friends are superior to relatives.I won't miss them and I don't miss those that have died,i only have terrible memories from them.My pain is that I am alienated by people around me,I love my parents,i will be truly alone if they die now

This scene is one of the greatest scenes in the Rocky saga. The beauty of rocky is its not just about boxing, but its about life: overcoming odds, love, family, redemption, friendship (ie Rocky's bonds with Apollo, Mickey, Duke, Paulie, even Tommy etc). The Rocky franchise is one of the greatest in movie history, right up there with Star Wars and any other long running series.

I met my girlfriend at the tail end of my three year fight against mental health, which included two suicide attempts. I had a very similar conversation with her not so long ago explaining how proud I was of her, and how thankful I am for her very existence and everything she’s done for me. She’s my biggest reason for continuing to stay alive, and my greatest inspiration in life. I gave her a small pin-badge which I’d had since I was seventeen, a badge which I considered to be a physical part of me as it was the first thing I bought myself the day I finally got out of an abusive relationship. I told her the badge was, is, and always will be my love in the past, present, and future, and that she is my love in the present and future. Much like Mickey described Rocky Marciano’s cufflink as an angel on Rocky’s shoulder, I told her that little pin-badge would be a hand for her to hold and a shoulder to cry on if ever I couldn’t physically be there in hard times. I’m still yet to show her this scene, I guess I’ll have to do that pretty soon.
