Adrian (Talia Shire) breaks down to Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) and tells him that Tommy has no heart, and that he should look to his son instead.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Touted upon its release as the finale of the Rocky saga, this fifth entry in the long-running series of sports dramas reunites star Sylvester Stallone with John G. Avildsen, director of the Oscar-winning original. Stallone is Rocky Balboa, suffering from career-ending brain damage as a result of his punishing bout with Ivan Drago at the finale of the previous film. Upon their return to Philadelphia, Rocky and his wife, Adrian (Talia Shire), discover they are broke, their fortune squandered by an incompetent accountant. Forced to move back to their working-class neighborhood, Rocky finds that his only asset is the run-down gym willed to him by Mickey (Burgess Meredith, who appears in new flashback sequences). Resisting big money offered to him by Don King-like boxing promoter George Washington Duke (Richard Gant), Rocky becomes a trainer and finds a talented comer in Tommy Gunn (real-life boxer Tommy Morrison, nephew of John Wayne). Rocky's son (played by Stallone's real-life son Sage Stallone) feels neglected by his father, who lavishes attention on his prot

I love the relationship between Adrian and Rocky. A true love story. She was a strong woman for him. When he was falling down, she was there to hold him up and when he almost gave up on himself, she believed in him. I love the way they loved each other.

this movie gets a lot of bad comments, but I really like it, it shows how vulnerable rocky's heart is, and this is Adrian's best speech, even better than her Rocky 3 one.

It's too bad that this movie is frequently viewed as the weakest installment in the franchise, I felt that this particular scene was among the most memorable out of any of the Rocky movies. Stallone and Shire delivered the lines with raw passion and intensity.

AKarnold#9 I admit it had a few silly moments, but overall I found it to be considerably more believable than 3 or 4. This scene and the one where he visited the abandoned gym really hit hard.

One of things that I love about the Creed films is that it gave Rocky another chance to pass on what he knew. I felt like he not only owed it to Apollo, but he also did it because he was going to succeed with adonis where he failed with Tommy.

Adrian was an exceptional leading lady. She always stood out even in what is widely seen as the weakest Rocky movie. She wasn't there just so Rocky could have a love interest, he would've never made it without her and you could believe that.

Adrian as always being at Rocky’s side and pulling him back together. Not even as a wife, but as a person and a friend, is what makes her someone you want ringside with you. A true motivator. Hell, Mickey himself would have been proud

This scene says a lot about this movie, and why it's not as bad as a lot of people say. See, every rocky film, has a feat that rocky has to battle. In Rocky 1, Rocky wanted to go the distance with creed In Rocky 2, he had to beat Creed In rocky 3, He lost his edge and the champion title, he had to work hard to get it all back In rocky 4, well he kind of had to avenge Apollo's death (Which I think thats very weak, which makes Rocky 4 IMO the weakest rocky film) In rocky 5, He lost his fortune, and he was losing his son. Rocky had to see what was important, which was his family. And Rocky Balboa, Rocky just wanted to have one last fight in the ring, win or lose, he just wanted to do it. Rocky 5 is not as bad as a lot of people say

Talia Shire is a great actress and what she brought to the Rocky films was nothing short of sheer brilliance. Adrian was Rocky's rock throughout the entire saga. I love Rocky, I grew up with these films through the late 70s, 80s then into adulthood 90s etc. It might sound a bit cheesy but I take a lot of inspiration from Rocky and Adrian and live my life the way Rocky would live his.

Even though this is my least favorite film of the "Rocky/Creed" series, this is my favorite scene. I've loved like that, but I've never been loved like that, and I don't think I ever will be. I'm particularly hit hard by the line "All those beatings you took in the ring; I took them with you." That's what love is supposed to be about.

When you faced Apollo the first time you found your love when you faced him again you found your heart. You heart is someone worth fighting for. Then lang came along you found passion and rekindled the fire in your heart. Then Apollo died you fought for honor. Now Tommy took your heart and smashed it making you lose sight in the old Rocky know and love. Even a beaten warrior can find his way back to the path he walked on.

In creed 2, when rocky reconciles with his son and meets Logan, im sure rocky tells stories to Logan about his grandmother and his best days in boxing. If stallone didnt kill talia shires character off, she would've been a kickass grandma to Logan.

Poor Adrian. She had to deal with SO FREAKING MUCH in her life. That is one super tough woman and Rocky was so lucky and blessed to have such a person. Yea I know she's a fictional character but Adrian is the type of woman girls need to look up to in movies, not idiots like Lizzo or Beyonce. Adrian is TRUE strength.

Tommy's problem has nothing to do with heart. His real problem is that no one tried helping heal from his past. That does a lot to a person later in life.
