Nice informative review. Thanks. I like that little flourish on the front mudguard. Its the little things that all add up to make a nice looking bike. Seems like very good option for UK roads and cities especially. Nice and light and got just enough of that "aggressive" styling for newer/younger riders who have to wait a bit before getting that Brutale RR thats been on their wishlist for years.
G'day Mark, great review that bike looks like a lot of fun with plenty of power for long or short rides that won't tax the body, still l love a clock face speedo and tacko, and lots of chrome, shit l must be old, cheers mate keep safe, Neil 🤠.
So good to finally see a brilliant UK review.... Cheers Mark 👍👍 I would absolutely love one of these, great fun on our roads. Slightly off topic, but have you managed to get on any track days this year?
Love the sound and appears to enough power, dash looks great.the pillion seat and front mudguard look very strange design the adventure style hopefully will look better.great review as always thanks Mark.
Great vid Mark…as always spot on with the mixture of facts and riding demo…superb…..The company needs to extend the range and make some classic/retro styles .like Triumph have done with their 400 range…especially with that beautiful 270 crank engine!….even if it’s just limited numbers…the market is generally older and the retro style is still popular..especially with recreational enthusiasts rather than just commuter requirements..👍
Great review, that 450 engine seems like a real gem, would love to see some ride reviews of the 450 cl-c too, seems like a really cool little cruiser 😊👍
@@markpulling12 Not at all, it was well earned & has potentially saved me aiming for the 450SRS and compromising with its relatively limited 'time in the seat'. When I throw in also saving £1400, the thanks are all mine 👍
Every CFMoto model I have seen is a looker. They look better than KTMs. This certainly looks better than my 390 Duke Mk2. Much nicer TFT, as well. The 800NK base model is extremely tempting. Another superb review, Mark.
What a great review Mark! Sorry I’m late to acknowledge your video. This is a fantastic little bike. I would really love this 450NK for commuting & the 450MT for weekend trips doing 80/20 roads. I hope future iterations of this fabulous engine & platform eventually get RBW. The sound out of the stock exhaust system is one of the best Ive test ridden. Cheers Mark!
Great review as always. That seat tho😂 Looks my granddaughter measured and made it. And the poor pillion with sponge shoved up their bits and pieces. Looked a couple recently. This is the worst of their lineup for me. Nothing met properly.
I’ve tried this bike on, and I must say that it was surprisingly fun to ride. A clear downside from my perspective was the size of it. Being 191 cm I felt quite cramped on it.
The Chinese brands are definitely coming....I have to say though that I'm not understanding the 3k oil change yet they're checking the valves at 25k whereas Honda Cb500 is 8k oil change and 16k valves?....also cheap tyres fitted as standard to Cf Moto whereas Honda are fitting Michelin Road 5s to the 500x.....270 degree crank/sound is better than the 500x 180....I own a 2018 500x so I know they're reliable but the exhaust note isn't as good as the 270 degree crank sound. As an aside I bought a n Adv350 and took consideration from your review and am very happy with it...just can't let go of my uber reliable 500x yet 😂...thanks for the review and your opinions.
Like the bike ....but what a ridiculous seat ...a lot of older riders would love this ...its lightweight and has enough power to be interesting but your pillion wont be happy
For me the thing with this bike is that even though I have no interest in buying one because I have a gen 3 MT-09. This is an affordable entry level bike and it has just about everything I’ve been wanting Yamaha to do with the MT-07 that at this point seems like they’ll never do. This bike is seriously everything you need for a new or very experienced rider aside from highway power and adjustable suspension for us bear shaped folks
They'll do it soon enough. Who knows when. But ktm and yamaha both joint ventures with cfmoto and are slowly incorporating the same tech. It will probably happen once cdmoto is more respected. Its probably a fair game tactic to curb conflict of interest. As yamaha has an dvangage on brand name alone.
Cheers Mark. I’d really appreciate it if you get the opportunity to review the 800NK. I’m sure it’s a bike many of your subscribers would be interested to see on the channel. I certainly am.
Why is the 650 going for less? 😮. Now I'm wondering if to buy the 650, it must be being discontinued. A great review as always, thanks for sharing and see you on your next adventure 🤙 🤟
Wow 450cc and 100mph.. sounds great. Fab review Mark, it'd be interesting to time travel 10 years forward to seeing how these bikes age 🎉 thanks Mark x
165 kg, 46 hp, 25000 mile valve check, hope RE are watching this, i get the impression CF Moto are going to be big players very soon. Would love to see a touring version, screen and some luggage capacity.
25,000 miles for valve check. Nice recommendation that sells the bike, as a mechanic there is no way I would go that distance without valve check. No problem checking (and adjusting) my RE 650 engine every 3 to 5 k miles in less than an hour. Easy and gives peace of mind all is right.
Great review 👏 do they do a 650cc with the 270 degree crank. This could potentially be the best lightweight motorcycle of 2024 and may well blow the Triumph 400, Royal Enfield 450 Away. This bike reminds me of that old Bob Dylan song. For The Times they are a Changing. Great bike.
Thanks Mark... Interesting low mid range bike. But here's the thing. They are perfect for what they were designed for. People will love them so much they will want to do some touring on them. But that's the problem. Once you weigh down the bike with gear it starts losing its character in the ride. These are meant to be enjoyed just as they are on local rides out in the country and around town. If you want to tour with some character, you need to be in the upper mid range with a 700-750 engine. That would still give you some nice punch while still weighted down some. But this also depends upon the manufacturer. I'm not a big fan of Honda because they tend to tune their engines down rather than up. The TransAlp is ok but not really that inspiring weighed down some... imo. Gord
@@markpulling12She's a long way from home, Mark! Kentucky is a beautiful state to ride in. Have you ever though of visiting your Mom and doing some riding in her area? When I retire, I plan on traveling in my RV further north and getting out of this heat in the dead summer. Gord
Mark, I checked around and the earlier reviews on this bike, written from an article published by journalist, who indicated that he only got around 43 mpg. He admitted that his female associate, who didn't try pushing this bike to is limits all the time and was much smaller and lighter... was getting around 63 mph. So I would imagine this bike at highway speeds with a light rider and unladen could expect around 65-70 mpg on the highway. Gord
I can't remember if yuve reviewed the CFMOTO 450 CFL. It has belt drive and the same engine. I'm waiting to see the 450 MT as I think it's a potential unicorn power and cc band. I like the look of the new V-Strom 800 variants but above the amount I want to spend. Also probably too tall for me at my age with the weight at the top in the fuel tank area.
This engine is the best proof, that you can have great engine sound even with Euro 5, most manufacturers are just too lazy it seems. I just dislike some design choices of the 450NK.
I think the Honda CB500 Hornet will do everything the CFMOTO 450 NK will do with ease and has the benefit of better brakes (twin discs), quality forks and rear suspension, sharper looks, nicer display and it’s a Honda with all the back up of a major brand. We all know that the residuals of the CFMOTO will be nowhere that of the Honda in a couple of years, so could be fool’s economy. I’m sure that NK 450 is a reasonable machine, but to make it a viable proposition it have to be considerably cheaper than the main stream bikes.
Cant love the looks for me. I hate all this black and Matt. I am from an era of chrome and all these modern bikes are not as pretty to me. Undeniable package though if you like this look. Engine sounds great. CF Moto as a world player sell millions of bikes for any of those doubters on Chinese manu. I don’t think it’s that well priced though? Same as honda 500? I would never buy a new motorcycle or car. The hit is horrendous. Superb review as always. Much prefer this to an RE anything. Wouldn’t put my money here but fantastic to hear reviews
Hi it's a brand new bike ...I can't please everyone...if I thrashed it people would complain lol 😆...plus speed cameras ...my reputation as a sensible reviewer gets me loads of bikes ...etc etc ...there is a small section in the middle of me giving it some:). There are many factors to consider being a reviewer Best wishes mark
@@markpulling12 Its a bike, we want to see it go and see what it goes like. I don't know anyone that rides as you do in these videos. I mean who rolls on in top gear on a 450?!
@@peterasmussen2933If you don’t like his reviews, don’t watch. These are not his bikes. They are loaned to him and are new bikes. He’s being responsible by not being a hooligan.
