Assetto corsa got the sound straight off of the tommy milner gopro cam thats why it sound very realistic. Look up drivers eye c7r hereon youtube... the resemblance is uncanny

AC is my go to. I wish it had the visuals of pcars and weather, but the tires, ffb and handling are top notch.

Wow that sound on AC is so realistic. Go look up a video with an onboard camera with the c7r and you'll see what i mean. The cracks and pops on the down shifts along with the deep tone, capture the cars true nature.

idk why u guys are arguing over these games, everyone has a certain preference on racing styles. Some people like to relax and have a nice race with little frustration while others want to simulate racing and love the challenge

Sound wise, I think the Assetto Corsa mod nails it. While the PCARS one nails the rasp, the Assetto Corsa gets both the overall bass and pops (as well as the rumble unique only to the C7.R) about spot on.

I start to race on project cars but when I hade my first race on Assetto Corsa I couldn't back to project. On Assetto Corsa I feel the car. Now with update 1.5 assetto corsa is much better.

Why don't you take the Corvette C6R soundfile from Need For Speed Shift 2 Unleashed and (somehow) use it for the C7R on Project CARS?

Assetto Corsa used laser scan to recreate the tracks so you know they are spot on, but in Pcars the tracks look more lively by the way the cars hop around on the curbs and bumps in the tarmac. I cant imagine an old track like monza being dead flat but thats what it looked like in AC.

The graphics in Project Cars is definitely better but the sound quality from Assetto Corsa sounds more like the real deal.

Project cars definitely looks better, but assetto corsa wins with absolutely everything else.

Once tried to drift a BMW in AC on my PC. In PCars i never tried to drift i think. It was impossible lol. WTF was this physic... I mean i drift in real and the only game so far i tried and drifting felt almost same as my real car was Granturismo5. In all others i missed the Feedback or Physic was like not existent to me.In GT5 the Mustang GT does exactly what my real car does in Terms of Steering and Throttle Reactions and even braking into a Corner feels the same. Not stock Setup but some slight modifications. I used the G27 for GT5.And to the Gamepad drifters lol. Please do not try to talk about how drifting feels in Real when you dont use a wheel.

I'm not fortune to have a pc, let alone one powerful enough to handle these at a high end. I'm waiting for assetto corsa on console. I can honestly say that the sound of the C7r Corvette is much more accurate on AC, which is no easy feat due to being one of the best sounding cars in GT racing. IMO

I love this car and his sound

AC has more natural, realistic look than pCars to me. The sound of the cars especially this Corvette sounds way better in AC, pCars once again sounds like 4 maybe 6 cylinders engine but not like V8 (with only two pistons per cylinder) at all. Interior looks more realistic to me in AC aswell. And one more thing, there are tons o f mods, both cars and tracks for AC. But in the end I have a lots of fun driving both games :)

The sound in Assetto Corsa is superior in my opinion.

Iracing and Assetto Corsa are currently the only real sims out there. Everything else is a glorified arcade, especially P Cars which is no better than Need for speed shift in terms of physics or realism.

Pc is not so cheap but when you buy games on steam or some games website you will see how cheap is games to pc then xbox 360 os play 4.

Mon opinion - Project Cars : + Graphique + Sound extérieur / Intérieur + Reaction de la voiture sur le revêtement de la piste + Des réglages ultra serieux a faire sur la voiture + Prendre en compte beaucoup de paramètre de l'environement / adversaire + Facile a réglée le volant + Force feedback et autre - Je hais la manette Je pense que Pcars est un jeu a prendre au sérieux et a y joué serieusement - Assetto corsa ~ Certain son de voiture represente tres bien ceux de la réalité. + Un régale avec la manette ( Course / Drift ) (125h joué avec) ~ Heu sinon avec le volant... Et bien j'ai jamais trouver le reglage parfait car la voiture sois ne braque pas assez ou trop... un peu casse téte le réglage... Mon coeur va pour le petit studio Pcars pour l'instant et si je trouve le réglage parfait sur Assetto, alors mon avis pourrais changer.

Project cars has more set up options than assetto does on console. You cant even move the seat position in cockpit view in the console version of assetto corsa. Its an inferior version of assetto corsa on pc.

AC

Both are great in their own way, I had alot of fun with some friends in PCars, but if you are driving alone, just hotlapping, AC is the king just for pure driving feel. PCars is better in many ways. In AC I had to rent a own Server just to make Multiplayer even slightly less pain in the ass, while in PCars you just setup a race and then, well, race as long as you want, have weather changes and all, it's simply how it should be done apart from some minor things. AC is pure horror, hosting a server is just pain, copying shit around all the time, exchaning cars means work ("But I want that Ferrari" *cries*) and so on, and you can't do track cycle which just sucks, so you have to change track manually.....bahhh. Plus....graphics in PCars is really that much better, especially at night or in the rain, PCars just looks fantastic. (both not even available in AC). The career in PCars is also ways better, and I mean by a billon times, AC career is just some races of which some are mega easy while others will make you scream in frustration, no balance at all and KI does also suck alot. But, and it's a big one, driving nordschleife tourist with some other guys in AC is just heaven for driving nerds, it feels so great, the cars are bang on handling wise, the feel is incredible, just pure driving. When it comes to drifting, PCars just fails, yes you can drift easy with some cars, but it just doesn't feel as smooth and as controlable as in Assetto, which I think is mostly due to the tire modell. In this Video it looks like Assetto is running low framerate, not sure what Specs you have or if it's up to recording, but before I upgraded my PC I had both games running smooth 60FPS+ on a GTX970 with setting relativly high. Played both on PC with Thrustmaster RS-Wheel, not so sure if Assetto really works on Console, especially not with controler, could imagine PCars being at least OK with joypad. AC wins for me, just cause I'm driving nerd, even doing that shit in RL.

Why Assetto Corsa lag and low graphic

alors, niveau graphismes, pcars l'emporte. là, au moins, la corvette brille et le chrome fait vraiment effet miroir contrairement au "chrome" d'AC qui fait juste effet gris. pour le son externe, je ne sais pas le dire. vu que je n'ai pas pu entendre la C7r irl. je ne mentionne pas de vidéos car le son est loin d'être pareil qu'en réalité(pour avoir été au prologue du WEC 2016, je sais de quoi je parle). pour le son onboard, en comparant avec cette vidéo: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pxOl0b8K6FY.html le son moteur de pcars me semble très proche, bien que très plat. le son d'AC est trop grave. trop de basses. même s'il y a plus de détails comme le bruit de la boite de vitesses. mais encore, pour juger correctement, il faut être dedans pour avoir une véritable idée et un bon jugement

Wow, I'm surprised AC has better sound. Graphically it looks pretty bad in comparison though. pCars looks super clean and just beautiful while AC looks almost bad, and too dark. I do like the glow effect around the brake lights in AC though AC has much better physics though

project cars looks alot better both inside and out when your driving a race car in real life that's similar to what it's like your not looking at the dash your looking at the road and that's what project cars did by blurring it alittle and the handling on the cars in project cars is very realistic alot better then most games I'd say project cars looks and sounds better in my opinion. the other game just doesn't capture that real feel project cars gives you with all assistes off and with a steering wheel.

Visuellement, pour moi c'est incontestable PCars est largement devant, plus fin, plus complet et plus fluide... pour le son c'est plus subjectif, mais je prefère (sur cette voiture en tout cas) AC... Dernier point, mais pas des moindres, le comportement de la voiture derrière un volant, ici impossible a dire, mais en tout cas sur cette video j'ai un peu l'impression que sur AC la corvette 'flotte'... Project Cars n'est pas pourtant exempt de defaut, avec un comportement un peu aleatoire dans certaines situations, ainsi qu'une IA a la rue... Mais il reste une valeur sur... AC souffre un peu de son age plus important...

I have Project Cars and its a really good game (I have a Logitech G27, you must play it with that wheel or better, like Fanatec, and a cockpit, if you dont have that, dont buy the game) Now im buying AC, so i will tell you in 4 or 5 hours...

Project cars gameplay and overall visuals is better, but I have to say. The C7.R in assetto corsa sounds very realistic to the real thing, especially the backfire. But in assetto corsa, the flags are the C6 flags on the wheel, not the C7. Poor that there's so much potential but none delivered

you just can't compare assetto corsa and pcars, assetto corsa is a simulator, pcars is a simcade. Both are good in their areas but a simulator is in other level

Nothing beats project cars for vibration, cockpit shake and graphics. (in the somewhat Sim realm) Driveclub is the best looking game of all time in any genre...but it is an arcade game. Physics is iRacing all day anyday. With the new Updates iRacing is by far the best. Assetto is decent in physics...it has nk vibration or sdnse of speed. If you've ever been in any racing caf around a track.,your tits shake off!

Le son de la C7 R sur Project cars est juste degueulasse, absolument pas fidèle à la réalité, quand à la version Assetto Corsa, le son est mieux, mais pas encore au top, ce son (pour les 2 versions) la n'est pas celui d'un V8 Corvette GTE ! belle vidéo sinon :)

i have both simulators,ill refer to them as that,there not games if your a true racing sim head,whilst project cars does have some nice track side detail and the wet weather and night time races and the menu is much more inviting and detailed,asseto corsa is the winner here,they released this in beta so that the community could test and give feedback to improve and they didn't ask for a penny to do so like slightly mad did with the WMD lot.assetto corsa also got the correct car sounds,the AI is better,the handling and force feedback is perfect out the box,no fucking around like you had to in project cars,its the devs job to get that right out the box.project cars looks and feels allot like the shift series and that god awful attempt by slightly mad which was test drive Ferrari challenge, im sorry but the AI in project cars is perfect they don't put a foot wrong, they don't make mistakes they follow the leader,there's no individual driver style,asseto corsa you have cars falling behind,or crashing out,you have them challenging each other,its much more competitive racing the AI in asseto corsa.ive heard that kunos is adding weather effects anyway soon,also the new red pack dlc is amazing,the Ferrari sf15-t is fantastic to drive, kunos would do well with the f1 license if codies lost it to them.both sims are good overall but its just down to the individual preference really,can you forgive the lame menu screens in asseto corsa,or the missing weather effects.or can you forgive project cars for its poor sounds,AI that's far too perfect,and the nfs shift feel to it.for me asseto corsa is the one,the dlc additions are way better than project cars,and it has Ferrari cars,and im a big fan of Ferrari, project cars feels unlicensed and the cars handle and sound same allot of the time,troll all you want im not bashing 1 over the other im stating facts and faults with both but if someone asked me to choose then i would choose asseto corsa.one of the biggest issues for me with both games is that there's a lack of AI retirements if any at all,almost every race everyone finishes,no one retires with issues or due to a crash,in fact in project cars ive seen cars perform the same with wings and wheels missing,and when you hit any cones or tires into the track,there still there the next lap in the middle of the road,would a Marshall have removed these objects,it would have taken simple coding to remove the obstructions the very next lap.kunos keep adding more and more and are continuing to do so,slightly mad,well i think they gave up on project cars,side note the WMD community on project cars are the biggest set of delusional wankers ive ever encountered,its as if they helped create the second coming of Christ,project cars is very far from perfect on release it was an abomination,the console version is still broken in places,and was soon forgotten not long after release,ive seen it for £9.99 on ps4,to me its an updated version of the shift series,if you sit back and look you will see similarities.that's my penny's worth.p.s,sorry for the great wall of words.

everyone shits on the feel of pcars because the default ffb is terrible. If you get jack spades files and use his recommended settings, the feedback feels just as good as AC (I have both games). AC looks terrible and has a dead atmosphere compared to PCARS so if you care about graphics then get pcars (It's hard to tell from the video). With rain and day/night cycle there's probably more fun in single player to be had in pcars. If you like multiplayer, then AC is the way to go. Braking is much harder in AC. Without ABS you will lock one wheel almost instantly in most cars and have to let off the brakes until your barely slowing down to unlock the wheel, then start again by which time you have usually crashed. In AC, it feels like the cars all understeer just a tiny tad too much which a lot of the hardcore sim guys take to mean much physics, many sim. but if that annoys you, you definitely want to stay away. Sounds depend heavily on the specific car, but AC offers more volume tuning where Pcars offers almost nothing on that front. Anyway, I think that's everything I can think of atm
