Welcome to my channel everyone!
I'm GT Charlie.
I'll be showing you how to install an aftermarket steering wheel, hub adapter and quick release I bought from eBay.
The car we will be using today is my daily driver, the 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS.

Bro have you any problems with codes by removing the airbag? I really want to change my steering wheel but I’ve been scared off by those saying taking away the steering wheel makes it constantly throw codes

GT Charlie I ended up changing mines out too. SRS stays lit, but I’m chilling it doesn’t bother me. I was worried it would throw for CEL codes. No more cruise control was a pain. Also, the horn setup was annoying

Mark Macphee did you end up connecting it? I think I have some archives of me installing the horn, which too was a pain because my horn kept getting damaged from the bay/bumper setup

GT Charlie I didn’t. I wasn’t sure how to do it cos the cables ran through the Clock spring. I’ve been running with it not working.

Hey man nice eclipse 👌, got me one also and wanted to know if I were to get the quick release is there a certain type I need to get or are they all universal and what type of steering wheel would you recommend?

Hi! If you follow exactly how I explained it, it should be okay. Quick Releases are universal for the most part, but the hub adapter is car specific. The aftermarket wheel bolt holes must fit the quick release bolt holes.
