Love this tutorial!! I and others were confused on how many rows on each flap to put. For me and the tension I use (tight/medium) it took me 11 rows of hdc (12 if you count the first row around the two granny squares) for the front panel to reach the 9.5 cm measurement and for the back panel with the closing flap I did 22 rows of hdc (23 if you include the initial hdc around both of the granny squares) I hope this comment makes sense and helps those like me who go by number of rows instead of measurements 🖤🖤
She's going a little fast for beginners, she sometimes covers the stitch so you can't see it, and she also doesn't explain the stitches the first time she does them. I'm not a beginner so I can follow it easy, but it might be difficult for others. Everyone is different.

For anyone who doesn't have the right material to stitch ur items together like how she did in the video, slip stitching is a really nice alt. I slip stitched and the result was the same as the video

This tutorial was really easy for me to follow, with the white star, instead of skipping 3 stitches I skipped 2 and I found that it worked better for me in terms of sizing. Love this tutorial!
@@waffle4946 well, the reason I had done it wrong was because I tried to keep it even and not shift. The corners won't be lined up with the star, it'll be on random spots, you gotta keep that in mind because you're gonna want to make it all even but it won't be. I'm not sure if that's why you're having the problem but that's what I did, hope that makes sense! Edit: the corners will be in completely different spots than the other corner you made (well that's what happened with mine) so it won't be all even, the corners will be in completely random spots. But it will still turn into a square, if that makes any sense ;-;
just made this using skull granny squares (tut by Totally Stichcraft) and came out so adorable, gonna make the star version now! also added some chains and charms to the bag, nothing better than accessorizing accessories lol
to make it more sturdy i’d recommend adding an inner lining with fabric so that it doesn’t rip, especially if you’re planning on carrying heavier things like large books xx

Too fast😭 and i hate when you just skip instead of doing it step by step and me having to restart the video do i can do it 4-5 times, but ig its not ur fault, i just kinda wish you took it slowly and step by step
hmm if it’s too fast for u,u can definitely try tutorials from a different youtuber who does it step by step or u should try practicing ur stitches more cuz im a beginner and after practicing my stitches and all its alot more easy for me to understand now:)
For those who are having a hard time, try learning the stitches and basics of crochet before making this. It's so much easier! Just take your time and come back once you've mastered all of the stitches. If the video's too fast, youtube always has options. you can pause, slow it down, etc. Hope this helps!

this is amaxing! i attemted this 3 months ago but couldnt get the squares right but now im gonna try it again with heart granny squares! hoping to get it done by friday but i dont think it will be because i only have done one square and im very slow.
I am an intermediate to advanced level crocheter and the one thing I’ve learned from my experience is that black yarn is like crocheting with a black hole. It is impossible😅
@@cherjii they said theu were okay if people made them but for personal use, they arent okay with people making a profit from it like selling it and copying or recreating their design
Hey i saw this, you just have to do the next step then its be a square. It might look a little wonky but so did mine. Once you finish the bag you wont be able to tell.😊
Currently making the whole back white but the pockets are skeins of blue and im doing granny squares for pockets HOPEFULLY i can finish in time for school!
I love this tutorial but she was talking too low and was working to fast, As a beginner i dont wish any shame and i still got it done but this was helpful and stressful at the same time!❤❤❤Please keep making tutorial like this!
I wish the tutorial was a bit slower....I cant even make the star. I either skip three slip into the fourth chain and end up with four points or skip two slip into third and end up with left over stiches :((
Can you maybe repost this video with no music please? I know you did repost it with the music more quiet but if you can do that I would appreciate it and would make this soo much easier!❤️❤️
