A quick tropical forest environment speed level design, done in unreal engine 4 using Kite Demo assets and other assets from the unreal marketplace, i've made the design in nearly an hour, the final rendering was done with sequencer.
This is my first speed level design, i hope that you liked it, if so leave a like, subscribe and comment with your opinions, suggestions and tell me what you want to see next!

epic games has a lot of free assets, look at the "learn" section of the epic games launcher, download projects and use that assets, or search for "kite demo" and "infinity blade" all free assets

Suggestion for next environment? Scrapyard.. Futuristic or not. Have some industrial feel but like in ruins. Or.. a desert with a giant mech or robot that have been forgotten for a long long time.

i'm rather new at Unreal and i can't figure out how when you sculpt your landscape it automatically applies the material, for example the river bed material transition into rocks when you sculpt it. Great video as always.

Man u improved so much...I dream of someday that we will be able to scan the world around us with phones then insert it into the engine and make our own games...Im sure someday we will be able to do that.I want to make super detailed first person game with terrain from my hood but cant do it alone its gonna take more than a decate.BTW are those terrains u build playable ? or just for cinematic short movies.

How did you attach that surface to the top of the cliff? Maybe I'm not looking in the right place but the cliffs in the Kite demo pack have just one face. Anyway, great work!

Really fun to watch. Whenever I use foliage, my light building takes like 10 minutes afterwards. Any way to avoid that?

Thanks! my light building can take even 30 minutes, it depends on the complexity of the scene and the power of the computer. To avoid that you can use dynamic lightning instead of static lightning

Unreal Environments - Speed Level Design, Okay. Sorry, I don't really _bake_ the lighting. I usually try to make the scene playable, and cinematic with dynamic lighting. You can see on my Unreal channel, Black Cipher Studios, I showed a preview of a game called E.S.C, well.. The first level. And it all uses Dynamic Lighting. dynamic lights have an heavier impact on performances than static lights but in this scenes that i made i don't care about playbaility :)

In my opinion, dynamic things just go with the scenes I create. I don't like baking the lighting if I'm finished with a scene, and I have to change the light's direction. But, like I said; It's just my opinion.

Also, changing your name to _just_ Unreal Environments would sound and be much more professional. People wouldn't have to type in Unreal Environments Speed Level Designs, or anything. It's just a really long name. That's why I changed my name from ZCProductions to Zachaboy.

1:05 How did you bend the water like that? I haven't seen a "bend" tool or whatever it's called. Also, how do you only extend one way? Whenever I extend a object, it grows in both directions. Awesome video btw, love how you put things together.

Unreal Environments - Speed Level Design All useful, good things in the marketplace is very expensive. Every good asset more than 80$ :( Im not a millionaire :D So i dont have money for that assets. :/ Possible to make a game without that expensive assets?

there are some free assets on the marketpalce but it depends on what you want to do... for learning i advice you to go to "virtus learning hub" channel on youtube, he has a lot of tutorials
