>makes a video "create a city street in ue4" >20 minutes makes the road only >at 20:38 showcases the already fully made street with all props in place HELL YEAH , that's just like in university when you skip a second from the lecture and the blackboard is all filled
Yeah people mostly put likes without even watching it fully just to find it later in the "liked" playlist. This is me, so I guess most of people are the same. Now I watched it till the end and put a dislike because it is misleading and they double lied. Promised to release a tool - didn't. The title promosied to create a city street - created a road.
@Quixel - Wiktor Öhman - 0:59 - where is this one blueprint actor road building script on UE Marketplace? How to find it and how to buy it? Please drop the link!
Dovresti creare tutorial simili in italiano, sarebbe molto bello creare una community italiana di Unreal Engine 4 e magari far conoscere questo programma a più persone
Great video. What's the status of that UE4 road blueprint? Also, what version of the engine are you using? When pasting the codes, I have unspecified collection parameters errors.
Where's the city tutorial? This guy built 10 meters of road for 20 minutes in the worst way possible (not in BP, not using static mesh instances). Then loads a completely different thing at the end (probably not done by him at all) and everyone is losing their shit...
It feels like he is working on the Unreal Engine Team because it's been made so professional and and easy to get. It really helps a lot having a tutorial with someone who doesn't just skip word's or forget some things. Keep it up, those are the kinds of tutorials we need more of on RU-vid!
Thanks a lot for the video. Any chance you could explain how to add the decal material in the material editor? I tried pasting the whole script in the material editor but couldn't figure out how to get it to work.
It's probably worth mentioning that when you say, 'Hey we built out this epic cyberpunk scene and will cover it in another video' now obligates you to actually cover the entire production of that scene. :P As a user of Megascans, I'd personally love to see it.
Whoa, you opened my eyes with how to tackle streets! I was trying to do everything with 1 texture, in substance painter. This decal technique is sweet looking!! thanks!
Great video thank you, where can I find the BP for the generation of the road? I am currently building a cyberpunk city for my project, this would make it a lot easier.
Did that road building script ever come out yet? Also I'm having issues using your provided asphalt material - it seems to be all there but there aren't any comments so I can't really match up the texture nodes to the textures I downloaded from megascans. Help?
Hi Wiktor, I am so excited to begin using these assets and methods in my own project, but, how would the performance cost look for an open world game i.e. much larger environments constructed almost solely from your high quality Megascans assets. Surely I would not be able to keep this level of detail consistent, regardless of the tenacity or pay grade of my content creators! I feel like I would be able to try, but perhaps as a more simple question; is there anything I should keep in mind whilst using a Megascans workflow?
@Quixel - Wiktor Öhman - 0:35 - Its 2020 - already future - Where is these ones more "complex urban scenes"? where we can look at them and enjoy the complex urban scene art? can you please drop a link where is these complex urban scenes video?
I subbed this channel when it had only 2k subs. Quixel is getting bigger and bigger day by day but you guys dont have right amount of subs you need. Hope you guys get bigger so.
any chance you guys make a tutorial on actually setting up the road with mesh decals in ue4 using the yellow or white lines in the library. It would be helpful. thanks
why i have problem with texture parking line....texture reflection on character .фрагмент текстуры отражается на персонажа как свет убрать свет с текстуры?why texture have reflection
Too bad these textures arent free... you gotta pay $200 A MONTH just to use them. How can this be a tutorial, if no one can afford these overpriced assets?!
can you please help me? my foliage tool is not placing the foliage in correct place. it is scattering the foliage all around the foliage box instead of spawning it inside
so and there's also a bad thing about quixel - and thats the shitty point system. is there no option to pay for example for a month and download whatever instead of always watching the points? poliigon considers to offer such a plan recently (customer care told me). has quixel a similar option soon?
It was wonderful! So I bought this textures. But I can't found '/Game/Textures/Decals/Manhole_Small_1/Displacement.Displacement','Game/Road_Builder/Textures/Variations.Variations', '/Game/Textures/Decals/TireMask.TireMask' etc.... Where can I get it?
i have been looking for some assets for unrel engine, but it seems like almost anything cost money. im not looking to sell a game, just try to learn from the engine. i cant find anyone giving assets (like driveable vehicles, houses, roads and such) for education purposes. du u guys know ant site?
nice video i like the scattered materials. its shame megascans is broken.. you have to subscribe toget the assets but then you also need to use points. so if you subscribe and run out of points you need to buy even more points or wait until the following month. or if u have points and dont subscribe you cant use them... its like buying a game then having to buy loot boxes to get items. it should be 1 or the other not both >:(
(Can anyone confirm) so decals don’t need to be modified, they can just be dragged and dropped on to landscape or scans as shown in the video? ( working on a basketball game and don’t want to go through photoshop every time I need lines)
Is this kind of interactive workflow possible with Maya? I'm more film background and unfortunately a lot of this good workflows are mainly for games :( please point me to the right direction if anyone knows
hey! Thank you for providing the material links! However, i tried to open the material for the decals and somewhere around line 354 (pretty much that object described starting with line 354) causes Unreal to crash... Any chance you could update the link? Cheers!
