I was playing Starbound with some friends and we were digging underground when one of us said something about us "not being god damn dwarves" and mere seconds after that I hear someone else say "don't be foolish, they told me dwarves can never fly so high". Next thing I know we are all singing this out of pure nostalgia!

my little cousin sent me this saying he found a cool minecraft song and oh my god the feels. i have so much hope for the next generation the fact he found this with no knowledge of yogscast and is now going through all their old series and is sharing every episode with me mah heart. enough to make a grown man crawl into bed and cry about all the happy memories. thank you yogscast

I just realized MoonQuest's connection to Diggy Diggy Hole. While Diggy Diggy Hole depicts the dwarven culture being single minded about mining, MoonQuest depicts a dwarf that was ridiculed for thinking differently and forced to abandon his own home in order to seek his dreams. There is also a connection in the lyrics. In Diggy Diggy Hole, they say "Never seen the blue moon glow, dwarves won't fly so high" Here, they say "they told him dwarves can never fly so high" and he also saw "and saw a moon so blue" I feel like it was meant to be obvious but the me from 5 years ago wouldn't have caught on to that.

I literally cried listening to this song yesterday. It reminded me of when I was younger. This song is beautiful.

I kid you not, this series single-handedly make me love space so much. I'm graduating high-school this year, off to study to be an aerospace engineer. That is how much these guys inspired me.

Many years later, I’ve just rewatched the entire series with my 6 & 8 year old daughters, each night snuggled up. Sometimes they fall asleep before the end, other nights they ask daddy for one more episode. No one will ever know what this series means to me. Other than me and my two girls, Scarlett and Sienna. The switch in tune and the addition of "you've got your friends right by your side" once Simon opens his eyes and sees the two is just such a good detail to express a Sense of hope

God I remember when this was the unfamiliar series and everyone wanted Tekkit back, Now people consider it among the Yogscast classics, how time flies.

I'm still shocked how the single most inspiring song I've ever heard was made by a group of comedians, gamers, and RU-vidrs rolled into one. Kind of an odd idea, but this is a mainstay of my life whenever things go wrong. It's also interesting coming back to this song after actually watching the series and getting all the references in the animation.

This song has an important message. Always aim high and try to reach your dreams and break past the challenges life gives you. People will try to stop you, but other people (like your friends) will support you right by your side.

I randomly got recommended this after watching some of 2023 Jingle Jam highlights and man this hit me like a truck, now more then ever. Im 23 now and very lost in life and this song brought me back to when I was 12 watching moon quest during a time where my dreams were larger than life and I thought nothing and knew nothing of the stress and anxiety that comes with adulthood. The message this song sends out to always aim for your dreams no matter who tries to put you down really struck a chord with me and I got extremely emotional listening to this on the train. I had dreams, I had goals in life but they all got sidelined as I struggled to achieve or accomplish anything due to personal shortcomings and the fear of repeating past failures constantly holds me back from seriously trying again. The person or thing that’s telling me that I can’t fly that high is myself and maybe I can finally start working towards changing that. Thanks yogacast for the decades of entertainment and inspiration and maybe one day I’ll look back at the day I made this comment and laugh at how seriously I took this song lol.

This was the first and is the only minecraft song to ever get an emotional reaction out of me. Not when it released, but when I listened to it later and realized that Moonquest was over. Individual listenings of this song often cause me to rewatch Moonquest in it's entirety.

I love coming back to this song. In a wired way, this really inspered me to go my own way and try new things in life. I remember listening to this when i was younger, good times indeed. I still come back for inspiration sometimes. Thank you yogs for impacting my and so many other peoples lives.

It was my brother who introduced me to Yogscast. And it was because of Yogscast that he started playing Minecraft. I remember him playing like a crack version and he would play it on our mom's crappy laptop. I would sit beside him and just watch him play. And he would always talk to me about Yogscast and I remember that he would talk about the story of the Shadow of Israphel. Because of that, I started to watch Yogscast and watch more gaming videos on youtube. I was still in elementary and my brother was still in high school when this video first came out. We would watch Moonquest together during or after dinner. And I rememeber this one moment where I think it was Simon who accidently turned on the rocket and completely destroyed everything and we were just laughing so hard watching it. Now, I'm in college and my brother is a working adult. And watching this has brought me so much nostlagia. Life has changed a lot since then.

I swear, the yogscast has the richest history among all the channels on youtube. Its a bunch of amazing people all coming together to give us new content, and every time I listen to this song, the nostalgia of everything is so overwhelming. Being a watcher for a long time I have seen how the Yogscast has grown and, I swear the entire team deserves some sort of award. I just cannot express how the yogscast has made everyone feel so deeply about what they do. This sends chills up my spine every time I listen to it, and is very motivational and emotional. This is my personal favorite song out of the ones they have made, and it really is the yogscast in one song. Its amazing how such an inspiring and amazing song could be made by a rag-tag team of comedians and gamers. This little paragraph I am writing is not enough to explain the impact they have made on my life and others. Its just amazing.
