Hey Ben, very interesting video this one. When taking them to scrap is it vital to have them divided into the right categories? I’m not fully clued up on computers but do stop them and have been keeping the ram separate but mixing up the rest. Would it be easier to just have brown/green boards kept together and then green/green boards separate. Never took mine in for scrap so when I plan too I don’t want to be angering whoever buys them because I haven’t divided them up correctly. Cheers mate

printers aren't that good, unless its one of those like big ones like what you see in schools or colleges, there metal but your normal printer for home its nothing all plastic other then one bit of pressed metal, hard drives are okay, if there broken or have been mageted as in a magnet has been put on them then there dead, other then that most of them will only have a basic memory or op system maybe the odd file eh ink carts aren't worth much ppl mostly grab them if there free as they might be able to use the ink or if re-filling them is a thing then that's what they do, most towers aren't worth much the pent 1 computer if its working might sell if its working any probs ram or motherboard wise scrap if the case is clean might be able to sell that, laptops are okay to sell but depends on age and condition, if there win 7 or higher might get money but if there lower then no, plus there mixtrues mostly plastic with foil parts some metal but mostly plastic i think maybe brass or some gold ish metal for the screws to lock in but there junk, unless there like 5 years old, or are in there boxes ppl buy them but eh its hit n miss, yeah taking a laptop apart we learned the hard way loads of plastic and fiddley screws, might mare,

I live in America so I'm not sure how much the difference is between a pound and a dollar I know there more tho... but you got 2 pounds per kilo for low grade boards? God Damn
@benny5190

£1.00 = $1.32
@benny5190
@benny5190 7 лет назад
That £2 for low grade was disc drive boards they called them low grade for some reason
@benny5190
@benny5190 7 лет назад
The real low grade power boards they call monitor boards so they only sold for 13p = 17c kg
