Omg burnout is such a terrible state. I was unlucky to experience it while I was working night shift on and off for couple years.... I was so tired but couldn't sleep. It was a never ending torture. Plus I started having some weird physical and psychological symptoms like increased heart rate, anxiety, panic attacks in the form of being afraid of the night... yeah now sounds so weird but working night shift in winter makes you not see the sun for several days in a row... I was listening to my name sometimes as if someone was calling me.. I was watching black spots from time to time... when trying to sleep I felt I was getting apnea and wake up after few seconds or a minute taking a deep deep breath and of course fear kicked in. Good thing was my doctor gave me one month off from work because of a burnout ❤️ thanks to my doctor I realized night shift wasn't for me and I left the job and said NO to night shifts for life 🙃 hopefully 😅 it took me few months to come back to normal but all those symptoms are gone now... and I'm so happy because I'm normal again 😄 thought I was going bananas 🤪

I have an observation. Your advice, compassion & sincere desire to help those suffering is irrefutable. I am one. However, I have noticed that during some of your videos your actions can be mildly triggering. Thinking of this vid & the one where you were slicing a lemon. My question. Am I missing something? Is there a purpose I am not comprehending?

I'm definitely burnt out, the most simple task take so long to do, I don't care about myself and don't feel like even getting out of bed but I'm force to fake being okay when I'm not, I'm on new medication and it's not working or my depression is far to gone now, not having anyone to talk to makes it worse, I've cut family and people out of my life who are so toxic but that hasn't helped either.

Change the job or activity. Therapy. Medications after being prescribed and if necessary. Been living with work burnout for 3+ years out of the 4 years I'm in work, and I'm a teacher. And got a second job just to get by. The 12+ working days (I have 2 of those in a week) are definitely the most tiring ones, and even the 3-hour working days are more like 4-6 hours long. My second job (also teaching) helped me at first, but now all I live by is that I can finally afford things I need without feeling guilty, like eating out in cafés pretty much every day (because I barely had the energy to cook with even one job) or clothes and make-up

Pay for a therapy sessions or watch Online relief videos or meet your friends, be with your loved ones/parents or Seek a mental health counseling from a psychiatrist/professional. All these may or may not be productive for everyone. So,The most important one to do is, Be close to GOD, read the bible daily & pray vigorously. Ultimately, believe in God. He's there for you, even if no one does my friend, seek him.

I isolate myself because I can't handle people anymore. I can barely handle myself and what's going on in my life. As far as self care, I purposely try very hard to always do it to some degree. I know that if I stop that then I've given up everything. I can't always change the circumstances I'm going through that are causing my burn out. But I CAN always choose to take care of myself every day in at least a small way. Self care helps keep me on track, focused on positivity and feeling good about myself. Which in time will help motivate me to do bigger things. Self care is like a piece of drift wood I hold onto when I'm out in the ocean drowning in life's circumstances. It's not big, it won't get me out of the water. But it's a little something I can hold onto to at least keep my head a bit above water till my circumstances change and I can finally get out of the ocean

Try and reconnect with the person, offer to do thing with them, make jokes,ask them casual questions and ask a few questions about that :) this might get a reconnection but if not try and drift away from them but if they reach out to you then its still there!

Hi Julie, My name is Olivia and I’m 13 years old. Last summer I was diagnosed with depression anxiety and panic disorder. This video I can definitely relate to because I noticed that I go through all the things in the video but for me the worst one is sleep. I would go to see a therapist but I’m too scared to ask my parents as I’m afraid of them but there are people who I trust, but I can’t contact them because my parents took my phone away from me. I ha e also been self harming and I’ve had suicidal thoughts they keep coming and going. It’s getting really annoying and stressful but I just get on with it. I do have a couple of video ideas which are more mindfulness because it really helps me before bed and in the morning and the other one is how to get over your fear because my fear is a balloon and I can’t go near them or look at a picture of them. I have also brought your book and I’m on chapter 6 and I’m in love with it. It’s really detailed and you have put so much effort in it. I wish I could meet you one day but I don’t think we can. Hi Olivia, I know this is like one year later …. How are you doing? I really hope that you were able to connect with someone who can help you. Also, I really wish for you that you could get the courage to speak up with your parents in a good way so they maybe understand you… ? I was saddened reading your comment. My kids are grown ups now and I know myself that I made many mistakes with them. But it was not because I didn’t love them but because I had my own unresolved issues from childhood. Back then there wasn’t the internet, so I could do some research and so on plus mental health in general was stigmatised. Do your own research Olivia, esp look up inner child work. And also read about ACE adverse childhood experience and CEN Childhood emotional neglect. I’m not assuming or judging here anyone or anything. It’s just I went through tough times with my three kids and have learnt what actually went wrong. Although I’m still on the journey of acceptance of what happened and trying to come to peace with my own self. Olivia, from how I read your comment I can see the maturity of thinking. I really hope that your got better and wish you well ! Take care of yourself!

@@drmurphy4043OMG yes. This is the best I have felt in a long time. I wake up and meditate for 30 minutes, walk for an hour, then hit the gym. I’ve been cooking more for myself, reading, allowing myself the space and guilt free thought of taking care of myself. It feels a little weird because I have never done it before, but I know it’s what I need. And I don’t wake up with that feeling of dread about my day anymore. That part was the worst for me.

How to fix this? Can you fix it yourself? You need professionell help for that? I dont know but i kinda destroy my whole life because of that and im not sure how to help myself and i starting to get to the point where i accept it and dont want to be a better version of myself. Hey, I don't know if someone will see this or you'll see this, but I'm having all of these symptoms, only difference is when ever I do sleep, I do get sleep but I wake up too frequently, how do I get out of this paradox

Physical exhaustion makes you sleep. But it is normal to wake up now and then during the night.
