As far as the right and wrong side of the cover, Before I ever use my Mat when it's brand new, I write "ON" in a corner. If I try to put the cover on wrong. It doesn't say "ON" any more. It says "NO" so I know I need to flip it over and put it on properly.

yes me I left my Cricut Explore in box for months as I was so nervous using it, the one with the dial, but then once I started using it and I wondered Why I thought It would be so difficult to use, m it is so easy to use and I enjoy using it.
Jennifer, I have really enjoyed this informational video. I’ve had my Maker 3 for a few years and have only cut fabric. Do you have a video that emphasizes cutting fabric and interfacings and stabilizers? I cut my bag patterns with the Cricut and it does a great job but would like to know more information. I have learned not to take my Cricut on a road trip with the blade in the holder. Tok a maker to my daughter's home about 700 miles. It worked perfectly when I was home and would not cut the same paper at her house. I changed to a new blade, and it worked. Cars bounce and the blade did get damage. Going home I took the blade out and it still worked fine after the road trip. So my rule is if the Cricut is getting packed to go on a road trip, I take out the blade.
Never got a chance to let it set in the box lol as has we got home with the circuit maker #3 my husband set it up right away and helpd me with everything! All though there was a few dayshere and there I did't go near it at first as I was aa bit nevus for a while that it be two years this Christmas now I love going to my craft room to see what I can master next, thanks too you Jennife and to others Cricut teachers!!! I like to put a circle around the hole on my mat film. Also a big X in the center. Easy to see where it is when finished with my mat i grab it and put on my mat
Just got my ticket. I've had my Circuit forever and done very little. I really want to kick it in and learn this thing. I even bought a Joy and have not used it yet. Oh boy! Is there hope for me?
Same here. I received the Explore Air 2 as a gift, unpacked it, and set it up, the end. I also have the Cricut Joy. It was on sale at a really good price, and I couldn't pass it up. It sits in the carry case I also caught on sale.
I thread the cords under the Cricut legs thru the cutouts when I have to drape them across the back of the Cricut to keep them lower and out of the project way.
Thank you for these tips 🙏They helped me a lot especially that I am new in cricut/cutting machines using maker 3. I did not know the difference between adhesive and HTV vinyl, only to find that the project I intended to do required iron-on and not adhesive. I am learning day by day from your tutorials. A question is which project need parchment paper and which will need butcher paper?
