I married my best friend when I was 21. We just celebrated 14 Wonderful years in June. Three beautiful Children later were still going strong! Communication is Key! I pray for longevity in y'all married. 💜

I know I'm late to the party but hey, I just had to say I believe and agree with everything you guys have said! I wasn't going to comment but the amount of times I shouted to myself "Mary, why are you me?!" (as in a future version of me) was too many so I felt I had to comment 😂 Especially the part where you said "Love is an action word" 😂 I'm not a words person, I'm an action person because anyone can speak words but not everyone can prove it. It's about your resilience, passion and determination to prove your love for God first and eventually me that will make me believe it! It's nice to see and for God to confirm that my way of thinking (despite my age) is the right way. It's just unfortunate that many men my age don't think this way but good to see that there are women and men who understand the value of keeping God at the centre of everything so hopefully this will change the mindset of future generations. Since I can remember, I've always known the qualities I have are fit for a married and godly woman but have spent some of these traits on undeserving men but happy that I'm now in a stage of preparation, getting closer to God and dating myself so glad I came across you guys! I’m 27 and sometimes feel super behind with not being married or having kids, and that causes me to “consider” settling for what I can get but this is reminding me that there is a man out there who will be completely crazy about me and in love with who I am. I have been married for 32 years and it is work. You go through so many valleys and peaks and it takes the grace of God. It is really important for people desiring marriage not to idolise it because of the level of commitment and work it takes. You spend your whole life becoming one flesh.
carrotts123 Soooo good!! It’s so Important for individuals to enjoy the season they are in. Marriage requires a great deal of work! Many people just focus on the bliss and honeymoon phase, but, haven’t truly counted the cost of the commitment, and challenges it entails. We must allow God to do the necessary work in us to be prepared for marriage. And even after saying “I do” continue to work to be developed. I pray that God allows us to personally connect with seasoned couples who’ve been married as long as you have to glean wisdom from. That would be so impactful for us. That's why the "covenant of marriage" should not be easily entered into. I think ppl forget that man didn't create marriage, GOD did.

And Mary you're absolutely right if men learn and show appreciation for their ladies they'll get a lot more from their ladies and ladies also appreciate and recognize when you have a good man in your life. Indria Love Hey girl, I know this question was directed at Mary, but I wanted to tell you that the best way to get your mind off of marriage is to simply focus on The Most High - immerse yourself in what He’s leading you to do in your season of singleness, whether He’s placed a desire in your heart to go to college, travel, learn how to cook & bake...... Also make sure to do the things that make you happy and be brutally honest to The Creator about how you’re finding the wait, He’ll give you the grace to continue following His lead.

I think one of the biggest parts is that you have to adjust to the cohabitation with one another, because you each have your way of doing things . Be wrong ,even if your right. Love languages is also a huge part. Wonderful video. Your right about people not taking their vows seriously the first sign of sickness, loss of job, mother -n-law needs to move ... Thanks for your insight. My bff loved their first year. Lol. Hubby and I have Been married almost 7 years and the first year was great! Lol. We didnt experience the first year as hard. Everyone is different but its a ton of learning always!!
Thank you both for sharing, you are truly Blessed & covered by his Blood I've been married to my husband over 20+yrs, however we're still knee deep in work to be done. Our communication is sometimes null & void He will shut it down if he thinks that the conversation contains conflict he won't engage at all. He furthermore refuses to go to any counseling. Says that is not real life Refuses to attend church service, i'm still fighting to find common ground kids are grown & gone, & it's just us. It seems as if he's content with the current situation. No conversation, no physical contact, just sharing the same space & carrying the last name. Not at all what I know God designed for me.

I’m new to the channel, I have watched about 6 videos so far and I truly enjoy you guys…I am watching your lasagna video and I just want to try and be helpful and point out some of the things that you didn’t get right being a newbie to cooking, first off you never put old bay in lasagna..nor lemon pepper, you must put the sauce and meat together with your seasoning, onion🧅 and pepper 🫑 simmering your sauce for about 45 minutes, and a little sugar in the sauce to cut the acidity of the tomato 🍅 sauce. But please use white sugar..brown sugar is for baking, it has a totally different flavor than brown. You need oregano 🌿 or italian seasoning the Mrs. Dash garlic 🧄 and herbs 🌿 was a good choice! The cheese 🧀 is supposed to be mozzarella, but if cheddar is your preference then go for it! Just make sure you put ample amounts of seasoning because ground turkey 🦃 is a bit bland on its own.. have been cooking for about 40 years and I am very good 👍 at it!! I hope this is helpful to you and you have a fan in me and I’m watching you right now on my phone 📱 and on my TV 📺!! Now you have to learn your partner as well how to be a parent. But when the children are rude to you and you're trying, trust me i can relate. Keep loving her honey one day she'll stop fighting you.

And she is my "stepdaughter"... What do you call kids within a marriage that's not biologically yours. Don't get me wrong I pray about this daily. If its changes within me or her that has to be made, but trust and believe I'm doing my best to show her I'm not a threat. This is what I meant.

What was hard was trying to "make" them live according to the will of God....Epic fail.... Listening and learning tho I'm single. Also one of the beautiful things about my church every first Sunday they have marriage enrichment for married and engaged couples. But for some reason my pastor have me sitting in to learn from them.
