I dated a guy for almost a year and I refrained from physical contact until we kissed once after about 8 months, he wasn't the right guy and I'm glad I took my time to get to know him on a mental note instead of physical. I prayed if he wasn't the right guy for me he'd be removed from my life and I started seeing things that made me understand my reasoning, like him not wanting to rush into marriage but tried to talk me into having his children 4 months in. 🤦 he worried about making a life long commitment but didn't see anything wrong about being tied together through a child?🤔 🙄

@@MsNaturallyMary at first he was like let's move in together and was all about getting married, asked me to do it on his bday/parents wedding anniversary but I wanted to wait a little. As time went on and I met his family it became he wanted kids like his brother and less about getting married. Oh towards the end told me he was a truthful liar after I caught him in a few lies. 😰 Seemed he thought talking marriage would get me ready for the physical aspect. His mom thought I would keep her son away from her but his other family members liked me... especially his mother's dog loved me and she couldn't stand, it would try and stop me from leaving everytime I came to visit. Glad that's over.

Sooooo, I made that decision back when I was in college ( God kinda put it on my spirit) I didn't kiss my husband until our wedding also. I believe it's all about discipline and having boundaries. I believe ( actually I prayed and asked why I couldn't kiss him) God wanted me ( us) to learn how to control my ( our) mouth and the words coming out of it.

This is EXACTLY what happened with me and my fiancé. I shared with him a couple that waited to kiss and then HE initiated doing the same. The only difference is.... it’s been 4 years since we’ve kissed and we’re still waiting 😅. Trying to pick a wedding date and get established for marriage. Love how intentional you were while dating. I admire this a lot. Truthfully i battled severe depression and suicide due to having dated a guy who manipulated me into sex despite my clearing stating my boundaries that i didnt want to do so, he didn't care. I feel now unable to date in the future because of him as this was my ultimate goal, to wait till marriage until sex and preferably also not kiss until marriage as my best friend and her husband had done that as well and it brings so much peace. It has made me lose interest in marriage. But you are a great example of godliness and clearly have a great marriage for honoring God in this way.

The great thing about God is that he gives us new mercies everyday. Don’t feel bound to the guilt and shame of that past relationship. That’s what the enemy wants you to do. God doesn’t place guilt or shame on us. After we repent we are forgiven. You can start over. God still has a purpose and plan for you. And he still has someone for you that will have the discipline to wait. Remain encouraged sis 🤗🙏🏾❤️

I totally agree with this tactic, I’ve been in a relationship that i believed at the time was Christ centered (which it wasn’t) I mentioned the idea of celibacy and I was met with anger and judgement. Temptation was a bigger struggle for him than I and I found myself soon after trying to fight off some of the overpowering lustful spirits he had attached to him along with some baggage I had too. It was a hard fought battle that God led me through to get out of that toxic relationship& regain my spiritual strength. Now that I am happily in the single I realize how important your videos are and other videos like it. Keeping God at the center of your relationship matters, it saves you the heartache, and grief. Thank you both for sharing your story, it really helps a lot. God bless you both ❤️

My husband and I didn't kiss while in our courtship as well. We courted for three years and on our wedding day was our first kiss. Actually, I wanted to kiss him prior to our wedding date but he made a vow to God and said the next woman he kisses will be at his wedding. I couldn't understand his logic but I knew if this was the guy God wanted me to have I had to respect his wishes. So now it's 15 years later after we said I do and this was the best decision I have ever made.

Love this Mary! You're truly a light. My husband and I did the same. We were both on the same page about waiting. We dated for 3 years and were long distance for some of that time so it was so hard to not show love in that way with the distance. It got harder when we lived in the same city, of course, because our feelings for each other grew but we held onto our purity in our relationship till our wedding day. It was worth it!!! That hug struggle was real😂😂😂 and sitting in the car talking at night was another struggle. We had to avoid that too. And we're coming up on 2 years also! Thanks for sharing, it's encouraging to see like-minded people❤️

I need advice I need help I personally have never been religious. I know nothing about Christianity tbh. I know nothing about Mother Mary. I've NEVER dreamed about them, until a few nights ago. I dreamed that the world was ending, people were dissapearing, and the sky opened up and there stood a giant woman made of gold and her infant son who was also made of gold. They were so beautiful there was no words to describe it. In the dream Mary was trying to comfot her crying child as she took the last of the souls to heaven. I was left behind, and she looked down at the rest of us heartbroken. This is very emotional for me to think of. I've never had a dream of her before in my entire life. The topic of her hasnt come up in my everyday life either. The day before this dream happened I broke down and I was talking to my boyfriend about how I wanted to change. How I wanted to be more organized, get over my fears, and improve myself. Then I had this dream. What does it mean????

Hello, first time watching, so inspiring. I am single and desiring to be married and also made a decision to not kiss, or be intimate. I went to see Pastor RA Vernon and first lady on tour and heard that testimony as well which even inspired me all the more. This was so Blessed to watch, so thank you for sharing.

I definitely applaud anything done God's way because it equals His results! We often want His extraordinary benefits but unwilling to discipline ourselves and sacrifice for His sake. I do think it is possible, would like a man of God willing not to kiss until marriage. I have done it wrong but want a blessed covenant if/when God blesses me. I trust His will for my life. I believe the things that comes from that commitment is often more important than the act itself. Also, keeping the flesh down in a relationship until marriage helps you see reality not potential ultimately staying connected to God and getting His approval on the relationship. I think that is so beautiful of you guys to want to honor God with your bodies and lives in that way. I am going to playfully call you guys the mouth family because you both have such beautiful anointed smiles. When I see you both together it makes my heart smile. And I want to do the same on my journey. I am praying for a Godly husband as well. But I do want to say, with God as my strength, that I have been celibate for 13 years. And the truth of the matter is you can't put yourself in Temptations way if you're trying to live a holy life and keep your temple free of sin, sexual sin to be specific. God bless you both! And you guys are certainly a very lovely couple. And thanks for sharing because others need to know that there are young people out there who still want to honor God in this manner.

A believe a small percentage of people finds that genuine, unconditional, pure, romantic , once in a lifetime kinda love. You too are too adorable and made for one another I just can’t 🥰 congratulations on finding one another because finding someone as equally yoked is very difficult. Being older and wiser, i wished I had the mentorship and foresight to wait until I was married to do a lot of things when i was younger. Although I grew up in a Christian home and I wasn’t eager to be physical with men, the way I was taught to view my body came more from fear of getting pregnant and getting ridiculed for being ‘fast’ and not ‘your body and spirit are precious and it’s a gift from God’ type thing. Make sense? The latter would’ve made ALL the difference in the world! Although my experiences have made me the woman I am now approaching my 40s, I would’ve used my younger years to really dig into myself spiritually and emotionally first and (literally lol) worry about men later. I am married and my husband is an amazing caring man and I’m in complete gratitude for his presence in my life. However, knowing what I know now, a lot of things would’ve been different. Anywho Bless you both! (BTW my hubby and I are coming up on our two year anniversary next week 💕)

You guys are awesome! I love to kiss. So, I don’t know I could. I would definitely have to be and stay prayed up. Being single and celibate is very different from having an actual person in your life that you can look at, touch and talk to. I know that with God, it's possible (you guys are proof of that), but I believe it would be difficult. I love the way you all approached it and saw it through and that motivates and encourages me to want to try. So thanks so much for sharing. Love you guys❤❤❤

I am a firm believer in waiting on God to send you the right person. You both did the right thing. Not to preach...but God gave his only begotten son to die for us and that’s love. Our bodies are temples for the Lord. We can wait. I love to see black couples doing the right thing to honor God. He has blessed u both and will continue to bless you both because you both decided to wait. Good things comes to those who wait. You didn’t let anyone discourage you and tell you that what you are doing is crazy. Stand on his word and continue to love each other unconditionally as God loves us.

Interesting and very useful to know about. I have been married to my husband for 26 years and was a virgin when we met but kissing before marriage endangered that. So, I agree with the reasons not to kiss or anything else that will lead to guilt feelings.

I’ve always been taught, “if you can’t take the heat in the kitchen, don’t strike the match.” Kissing can be the match that starts the fire burning. 🔥🔥. With that being said, I didn’t do neither-kissing or anything else. A clear mind and spirit is imperative to me. And when I really love someone, I do what it takes to shun the very presence of evil. Once that thang get to going, it’s gone. 🔥🔥 Lord help!

In my past relationships I fell for the person quickly and didn't have any boundaries. Well these relationships began fast and ended quickly as well. I do believe that waiting to kiss and have sex would be beneficial in getting to know my significant other better. So definitely you and Jerard inspire me to take things slow when I do decide to date again.

I like the insight. I will share this with my children but I ain't about that life. lol. I am also glad you guys will not just put everything on front street. That is why when you posted the question on the community tab my question did not delve into what you have going on. If you know a couple who is older and did this after "throwing it out of both drawer legs for years" that would be more of interest to me. lol.

This was good! I am planning to wait until marriage to kiss. In Jesus Name. My ex and I started out kissing and I definitely could NOT handle it. So we stopped. Thankfully he respected my boundaries and it was also easier to discern he wasn’t the one for me because we stopped physical contact. Those things will definitely cloud your judgement and have red flags looking like green lights to go. Thanks for sharing your story. Keep it up because we need the encouragement

Because God has truly spared me from the WRONG relationships, I have yet to have a boyfriend and I actually have not EVER kissed. Please do not make a mistake, lust has been very present in my life and I am in no way an angel (the Lord is working on me). The Lord began impressing on my heart years ago not to kiss until my wedding day, and I have seriously fought and gone back and forth on that because sis did not have any standards (and the way God works with me, He wasn’t allowing a relationship to pop off in a no-standard zone). So I am so happy to share that my first kiss ever will be on my wedding day to the love of my life and I’m so excited about it! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾😘😘😘💕💕💕

Whew I’ve heard of Pastor Heather and Cornelius doing the same thing. I am not sure if I could do it. Yet here Iam in my season of singleness being celibate as God called me to be and trusting him in this area. Some times I think will I come across a guy who will be down with having no sex until our wedding day. But then that would be saying My God is incapable . Devil is a lie ! these videos from you and other Christians are encouraging. Look forward to more.
