One of my all-time favorite naat in Farsi. I must say that the English translation doesn't come near to doing justice to how the original work in Farsi is put together by the great Molana Jami. What he is famous for is his 100s upon hundreds of full-blown poetry pieces. Most of them in the form of Naat, or hints of praising Prophet Muhammad.
What most people don't know about Molana Jami is that he was from the Sufi school of Ibn Arabi after getting initiated into the Sufi circle by Sadaddeen Kasgari. He was very much influenced by earlier Sufi poets like Hafiz Shirazi as well as Nizam Ganjavi. Not only poetry, but he was an avid painter and depicted Persian history through paintings.
