I just want to say this. My sincere thanks to Xynode. Completely changed the game for my wife and I. We are a bit “older” and thanks to this build we cleared Vet Castle Thorn for our first time AS A DUO! YES THATS RIGHT! again, thank you so much for this build and perspective.
@@Barn80 I know you weren't asking me per se, but in my experience I pulled higher numbers with Thaumaturge. I also thought flame would be better, then it was pointed out to me that unstable wall has an incredibly low chance to proc concussed. The shock glyph is there to reliably keep up concussed, while wall is for off balance. The damage difference is so minimal. I did 2 parses. 82.2 with flame, 81.8 with shock.
best build for a player like me who has arthritis in his hands and struggles to keep up dots, thankyou so much for the work you put in. it makes this game so much more enjoyable for players like me. i haven't been this excited and felt like i contributed this much in group content in eso in a long time.
Xynode, hats off to you. There are a lot of people that play ESO with disabilities. Disheartened that they will never reach those high dps numbers. Builds like this really help. Thank you very much. Your content is greatly appreciated.
Same sentiment. Playing with a disability, bar swapping is difficult, after 4 yrs playing with hours in front of the dummy, still not able to light attack. Gave up on doing trial progressions. This build delivers the dps I needed. Thank you thank you . PvP build next?😊
I want to say thank you for the ridiculously easy build. It's fantastic for solo content with a couple of caveats. First things first. Full trial dummy parse was 62.5k for essentially using three skills. Stupid easy. Second on the 6mil dummy my first parse was 28.2k, definitely below my comfort level for Vet Vateshran. I changed slimecraw for Kra'gh's and also swapped out mages' wrath for Elemental Susceptibility. All the extra pen is perfect for solo arenas and I chose this skill because 60 seconds of major breach is great and we don't need the sustain from the other morph. 6mil dummy parse with these changes is 36.1k. An increase of about 28%. I just thought I'd post some helpful tweeks for those that want a stupid easy build for solo arenas. Thanks again.
Try noble dualist instead of orders wrath. On the 21 mil dummy a full heavy during off balance will be over 200k. The ticks around 54k and the last pop over 100k. In comparison, barely trying...orders wrath got me 63k, noble dualist jumped it to 68k. When I paid more attention to the timers it was 72k. New toon, has been at cp for a week, so this was also using storm atro instead of shooting star.
I know this video is 3 months old, but I did this build for my sorc. Even though I’m really low champion it made eso a little easier. I still struggle, but I’m having fun. Thank you for what you do 😊
This is nuts. I just got all the gear you mentioned for the first build and it's mostly purple gear with jewelry being blue and my results on my trial dummy went from being 36k to 60k! And that's not even with reallocation of my champion points to match your suggestions! I cannot thank you enough! This is such an awesome build. 👌
Nice! I remember the first time my Dps numbers went above 30k. It was a gratifying experience for me. Xynode imo is the Guru of eso. He just knows what to do and when to do it. He always explains mechanics and rotations that everyone can understand. :)
Completed my first ever VMA thanks to this build! Finally grinding those perfected rolls. 2nd run 506k score with 2 deaths!!! Whilst not a perfect run, im really happy with this build and how much it’s helped me. Thank you so much Xynode 😊
Thank you so much for putting this build together I ended up getting a slimcraw guise head piece yesterday so instead of being at the mercy of rng for the shoulders I put on orders wrath shoulders instead with the slimecraw mask loving the build so far
I'm still trying to get the zappy zappy staff for this, but having a damned good time using the Frost variant! Hopefully in another week I'll have that Lightning staff!! EDIT: WOOT! Just got it! Second Edit: HOLY SHITAKE Mushrooms!!! THis ROCKS, I just solo'd the Serpent Caller On High Isle TWICE with this build!!! Update: YES FINALLY GOT THE Lightning staff!! And wow, I'm having a TON of fun playing this setup!! I've solo'd so much content with it its not funny! It's now my go to for dailies 8nvolving world bosses.. I've not tried any vet content yet but will try soon.
have you tested this build with Netch's Touch? all that lightning damage seems like a perfect fit. I haven't played in 3 years so go easy on me if that set is utterly awful now lol
I’ve seen people using this build and if I need help with a dungeon they always do really well, I recommend this build! I just wish I had high isle to get the ring!
I was running orders and grave, which is really good. Swapped to sergeants and orders. Wow. The damage is insane. Running both pets, flood and wall with either ward or crit surge depending on content. It’s now super easy sorc. Best build by far. Cheers.
@@DarthRiznat yeah man its a one bar video. Oakysoul and slimecraw. but ive since changed skills. Bound aegis gives the 8% health passive plus the 8%magic and comparable damage to a pet.
Yep. Now run sergeant and storm master. Both pets on damage, wall, ward and aegis. Keeps ward every 6 secs and kill everything. On trial dummy easy 80k. On down side is storm profs on heavy pop crit. Can take a few. Noble procs on Melee. Best sorc ever.
So I ran this build (but with a Breton not a high elf) and it cleared vet Scalecaller and vet Maelstrom (my first time actually which makes me super happy). Thank you Xynode!
@@Titansdragon75 I used the exact build showcased in regular vet, no HM. Ran it through vet Fang Lair, its super survivable and vMaelstrom on a second go around was even easier than the first. With all the heavies I just don't run out of Magicka lol so spamming the shield everyone other heavy attack was super easy.
This is insane mate, hat off to you for being a positive breeze in the cesspool of update 35 :) Thanks for the best ESO content on RU-vid and Twitch. Keep up the good work
Amazing build. Just tried it out in Maelstrom Arena and beat it first go, Only died once because I forgot the mechanic of leaving one behemoth handler alive LOL Straight after that I just burned him down before he could enrage.
Hey dude loving your videos wondering do you have something for a one bar Templar as I can’t bar switch properly due to disabilities but would like to be able to solo play to I know it’s a big ask
Wow thank you so much for this build. I modified it for me and because of sets and it performed flawlessly. Beat vet vateshran first time through. Beat vma in under an hour and got flawless conqueror my third try. One death first run. Thank you again!
New player here. Just obtained the oaken ring yesterday and been looking for a build. This looks like it’ll be the one for me to do. Time to grind out that gear you mentioned and it will be perfect. Still running with half training gear on that a guildy made for me.
a quick update, ive chnaged skills to wall & HA's only with both magic buffs and crit surg for survival. CP is dot & direct, not wrathful, tested more damage. Im now running through vet HM dungeons and laying waste to everything. i wil say i play to the build by running thru mobs and turning at a choke point, drop wall, HA and they all die in the wall. im hitting 66K crits on the pop. Its a blast to play. Always loved east sorc, always played a version, this ones the best.
Hello Xynode, i love this build! It's finally like you said I can do anything with confidence!!! However, I have 2 questions: 1. I didn't understand the distribution of the CP's correctly in the video (German), I set them as indicated in your other Easy Sorc Build - okay like that? 2. I "only" get 49.3% critical magic hits. Okay, it's not 2-3 set pieces on divine, but does that matter that much? Thanks again and keep it up!👍👍👍
Great Guides! Glad I found your channel! Ive been using this build for a little while now, using Sargents and Orders. Are the gear sets in this video still the current best or would you recommend others at this point? Thanks!
I had built something very similar to this when Oakensoul came out. That sorc became my most played character. I think this will improve on that build even more. I'm definitely going to give it a shot. Thanks for the video
How many CP point do you have? I have 430 and cannot get over 24K while on Target centurion....Not sure what I am doing wrong. My build is identical to the video.
@@truffryderz99va 900 CP. not sure if the centurion is the same as the trial iron atronach. Does it give you buffs and synergy’s when you attack it. Also make sure your weapon is gold.
@@FSUa11day thank you! I didn’t realize the buffs and synergies boosted the character like that. That was the problem…..That’s what happens when you are a noob…
Great channel, has helped me a lot! Im a novice ESO player and have vastly improved gameplay with tips I've learned here. Currently playing Necro but will do a Sorc next.
LOVE IT!!!! i havent played since february and just got back into eso a couple days ago. definitely gonna make this 👍🏼 the only activity i think that this build cant do is cloudrest because of the bar swapping boss, but can always drop the ring and make adjustments.
Oh xynode you are music to my ears just tried doomas one bar stamcro never got past the ice boss after 2 weeks of farming my gear so hoping this works now for the sorc the damage numbers are crazy I just want to beat vma once thanks again I will Farm this in the morning and update
Amazing I gave up ESO because of the multiple bars to builds but watching this I already starting playing a new character after maybe 2 years. Now just have to work on getting the levels and gears as I play fresh.
Hi Xynode... I love the build and I am currently using it at CP815... it works really well. One quick question, what is the advantage of Oder's Wrath over Back-Alley Gourmand Set? They look extremely comparable.... any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Would whorl of depths and pillar of nirn full sets with a slimecraw piece be appropriate for this build as well? Would you recommend replacing pillar of nirn with the sergeant set from wayrest sewers? I’m just very attached to my WOD. 😢
No. The dmg comes from the bonus to heavy attacks from sargents. It you want more dmg swap orders wrath for noble dualist. You will lose 10% crit but gain 2100 to heavy attack before bonus. And even with giving up the 8% crit dmg from orders wrath a parse on the 21 mil will go up around 9k.
Awesome video and build! Just did 35k dps on trial dummy and still missing lightning sergeants staff. Slaps hard even with a non-optimized set. Looking forward to finishing the build and upgrading gear to legendary!
Had to grind out the shock staff from Wayrest and it was the last drop to fill the sticker book. Typical. Anyway. The build is fun and like you say, easy to play. She held her own in all the content I tried so far. Thanks!
Since Update 35 I have been running Oakensoul, Sergeants Mail, Storm Master, and 1 pc Slimecraw (5 Med, 1 Hvy , and 1 light). So fairly similar build concept. I tested it with light Orders Wrath as well and the Storm master def does better damage by a significant amount. As per your choice of Ult, it def hits hard but remember Power Overload from Sorc Ult gets buffed by all the hvy attack gear and hits like a truck and lasts so much longer. I have seen it get upwards of 240K dps for a few seconds at a time (so great for short bursts on things like add packs then shut it off and rebuild) and it is no problem for me to maintain well over 100K for the duration of the ult. One good reason for the rebuilding of the ult or trying to keep it up is the red CP which gives bk HP regen for your total ult. That will put your HP regen at over 2.6K. With the massive HP u get back from that and Crit surge I wouldn't normally use the Bound Aegis, or the other Shield here (depending on content). You can easily swap to a more passive damage like a pet or I use the Hurricane. Also this can free up room for the Streak which just makes the build fun again and allows a lot more mobility on the battlefield (just standing still and hvy attacking gets really boring really fast so a skill like this keeps you alive and having fun). I would also ensure using the RED CP for faster rez as the rez is excruciatingly slow without it and in a fight u need to GTFO asap.
That sounds pretty good, but everything he did in this build was to appeal to a newer less experienced player. A dead DPS deals zero DPS and having orders Wrath which is incredibly easy to get as a newer player increases your healing along with everything else. It's not hard to take a build like this and make it hit harder but if you start removing the Simplicity and the synergy you're going to have an abomination of this build that doesn't do half of what his does. I'll go so far as to say if people follow this build the way he made it then a lot of tanks are going to breathe a sigh of relief if they get two of them in a dungeon together because it's going to be easy mode for everybody.
@@Sirkento Oh but floor parsing is so much fun :P LOL. But my build is quite comparable with his in terms of Stats and things like the Crit surge (massive healing) and the Wall of elements he is synergizing with. I promise mine is extremely beginner friendly and does massive damage with great survivability and resource sustain. It has everything his has going for it and a bit more.
So, with this exact build I was able to pull around 65k. But, if I switch Thaumaturge to either Backstabber or Fighting Finesse, put the twilight tormentor and scamp on, slot Hurricane, slot daedric curse and use the atronach ulti...I've gotten it up to 75k just by holding heavy attack and queueing up the damage skills as they run out (combat in options has a configuration that puts a timer on your bar so you know when to press it). For a slight loss in DPS, you can switch the tormentor to the matriarch for heals or a bigger DPS loss, swap Hurricane out for Crit Surge. You can also either make up for that DPS loss or gain more DPS by switching Orders Wrath for Noble Duelist...If you do that, I'd recommend using the Power Overload ulti. It'll pull in more DPS than the atronach because it's buffed by both your sets. I know the whole point of this build is to make it easy as possible, but the options above are for people who are a tiny bit more advanced and can press one button after each heavy attack. With that being said, thank you so much for this build. It's been super fun to play with and alter. Soloing content is a walk in the park, and even vet dungeons have been a blast.
I have a noob question... You mentioned in the gear section that the 10 percent crit bonus from medium armor passives makes the 5pc from Order's Wrath unnecessary..... So could I run 4pc Order's Wrath in medium with 2pc Maw? If I wanted? Or is that super dumb and I should just rock the 5pc light and 1 Slimecraw?
Xynode Gaming Thanks for your time & great video. Is it worth running a heavy chest, medium shoulders and the rest light (light, medium and heavy passives) over a heavy chest and all light (light and heavy passives)?
Hi Xynode. One of the gear items you said to farm was Cuirass of the Sergeant. I believe you said to glyph it with Spell Damage. Do I also need to transmute it to Divines as it current comes with Sturdy. In fact, do the other items have to be transmuted? Thanks! Dave
Will you be adding an updated written guide for this build? I apologize in advance if you already have one. For some reason all I can find is the old written guide.
This build just melts things and in practically unkillable if you pay a little bit of attention. It finishes things about as fast as some meta characters that I have to practice the rotation over and over and acquire some difficult to get gear. Its easy to play and lets me grind in the hard content for the meta gear without sweating.
Sheeeeeeesh, as a playing switching from console to PC, this is much needed because it's all easy to get and you're on my beloved Maggy Sorc ❤ tho I'm going khajiit "because khajiit is master race" love my kitty lol
Hello. Thank you for the guide. Where does it show that heavy attacks are buffed from the wall? And how come I see people run the wall and it is named “Storm” if you have a lighting staff equipped? Mine just says Wall of “Elements” no matter what I equip.
My guild had a police of no one-bar builds in trials.... Secretly, i used this build in one ot the trials, and my dps was double of second best.... They were "furious", i went against the rules, but they had to admit there was an increase in dps.... Now, they changed the "rule" and one-bars are allowed if we can get all necessary group buffs.
Noble dualist is the way to go. Infal gives 900 to heavy attacks, noble gives 2100(gold).storm master is medium, so you lose all the pen. Noble is light.
Great build! Apart from the Slimecraw 1 pc shoulder (I just have a trainee set shoulder instead), I have managed to farm/craft all the gear for this build so I've been trying it out for a few days now. I only golded out the staff, rest of my gear is purple (except the ring and necklace in blue). I have divines trait on all my crafted Orders Wrath pieces, rest of the gear have random traits from the drops I got (I was lucky enough to get the chest piece in divines though xD). With all this I'm not sure if I should be expecting more DPS, but on the 21m trial dummy I'm only managing to hit around 45k DPS. Is it because I dont have the right traits on all gear pieces? Or because I havent golded out all pieces yet? Or is it because my CP is too low (currently at cp 450) ?
Soloed all high isle WB’s with this build in all blue gear apart from mythic ring and yellow shoulders. Ok have 2k plus CP so all slots and passives filled but they only contribute so much.. So this build works its solid easy easy easy to use and if you struggle with complicated rotations then this could work for you. Hit 67k dps on a trail dummy which is solid although a totally useless way of judging anything apart from how to hit a non moving target that buffs you.. I not saying you cant die with this build but the 2 times I have has been me and a one shot is called that for a reason.
So. I forget the name of the dungeon, but I did the one where I get Stormfists head piece on veteran using this build... I got the helmet. Solo.. SOLO!!
What he said is incorrect, the end game community average is prob 100k on a dummy... And it is very easy to hit high numbers on a dummy. Dummy also has heaps of buffs so in optimised trial groups you would be hitting less than what th dummy says. 10%-15%. However doing vet trials atleast 70k on trial dummy is a starting point. 1 bar heavy atk builds are also capable of hitting 85k with different gear setups.
Yeah definitely! It'll take a while for the community to wise up but eventually people will see that this is way more than sufficient and often preferred for most of the stuff that people are going to try to bring.
My experience as a noob is that Vet trials are 80% knowing the mechanics and 20% what damage you are doing. Finding players patient enough to walk you through the mechanics of Vet content 2/3 times until you get it is key. After that it is all good unless you are a scoreboard chaser.
Tested, this is very good and strong and friendly. But i dont have oaken ring, so i should still use trap. :( And also think, how else to imrpove this build, speaking about damage.
I used to have a pure lightning build I think based off one of your builds that was mag sorc super easy proc'd off crits etc....around before or during summerset but they've changed stuff so many times and unplugged skills I'm at a loss now. I just want a thematically Maormer Build Stormy pure mage And with that station we got also flip to a Stam sorc with some electric flavor. Do you think maybe as a casual PVE build that you have any input on that? I think dreadsails, Tempest island, and or summerset probably between those and antiquities there might be something quirky and fun....
Dangit i was so happy about a build i could use and he hits me with the mythic at the end XD. I really dont have the time to grind for days to increase the scrying skill/running all around for RNG
? Does the set drop all pieces in both dungeons? Or only certain pieces drop in each one? I been having a hell of a time getting jewelry or lightning staff……
What up Xynode! I have been putting together a similar build on my necromancer. Do you happen to know if lightning heavy attacks are boosted by the 15% increase on deadly strike set? According to the UESP build editor they are.. seems like a nice option because your dots would get the increase too!
For Suicide-Players who don't use shield, like me.. You can swap out the Shield for a Dark Magic Skill like Daedric Tomb (Mines), to get 6% extra Crit Chance for 20 Seconds, from the passive. But for survivability, better use Shields. 😁
2 things. I have the same setup except i am 600cp and my jewelry is blue and cant break 28k. Second thing, can we get some options to up the dps if we do want to be alittle more active. Thank you, great build.
Just a quick update. I changed skills around. Found that bound aegis gives the 8% health passive, the pets dont. plus the 8% magic and minor resolve. inner light with wall and crit surge giving more damage as other set up. ive had 60K crit heavy pops. Ive been a sorc HA for ever. Thx for making this the easiest easy sorc. Ive been able to drop ward and run the matriarch for the heal and free damage. extra cheers.
