I love all your videos! I have a question, I am trying out making a wand with air dry clay in a wooden dowel. It is drying but now there are all the cracks! What did I do wrong? Can I do something to fix or make sure it doesn’t fall apart?
Air-dry clay tends to crack as it shrinks, specially if it dries to quickly. I use a brand that doesn’t crack called DAS air-dry modelling clay. Try using some fresh air dry clay, mix it with some water, and then apply it to the cracked area. Smooth the area with your fingers afterward. Let the clay dry in a cooler area to keep the clay from cracking again.
