Okay personally I get a very fast speed from T-Mobile it's like 300 MB download 100 MB upload and I'm running what's called NR_ NSA but when I put my this thing in 4G it is slow like that like 88 with 26.7 up so I don't think that actually is working by the way you need to go to NR underscore NSA

Great video. I have been experimenting with SA vs NSA on my InvisaGig paired with the Waveform 4 x 4 panel. My experience in my market in NJ has been similar. I am not seeing all that much of a difference with NSA band 2 as the Anchor and 2 aggregated bands of N41 vs SA on just 2 bands of N41. Pings are similar and max download speeds are between 200-500 depending when you test. My observation is stability. NSA for me is still more reliable where SA I have random connectivity drops. I don’t think SA will have the “WOW” factor we have all been waiting for till N77 lights up AND T-Mobile allows 4 Aggregates. My understanding is the Modem "Quectel RM520N-GL" can support up to 5 but the carrier doesn’t. Still waiting to replicate even half of what T-Mobile did in there stunt marketing where they achieved over 3 Gbps

So a revision to my previous comment. Just added a Chester Cheetah V1 with the X65 on board to my arsenal and now I can access 3 Bands on SA, 41, 41, and 25. For whatever reason this seems to work out slightly better than NSA there i seem to get LTE 2 and 66 and 5G N41 on 2 bands. Upload with N25 added to the SA mix seems much improved, and quite stable, at least on my tower.

Not sure what is going on with T-Mobile around here. I have the TMHI trashcan, no external antenna, B66 and n71 are the only Freq. The tower I believe is about 3.5 miles out. My ping has been averaging 19 - 28 ms and down/up load speed was averaging 55 Mbps/ 32 Mbps. About 5 weeks ago I notice a big difference in performance. Ping is now slower, 32 - 44 ms. Upload speeds are about the same, but, download speeds went why up. Download is now averaging about 150 -175 Mbps and it is fairly consistent through out the day. Before this change, speeds would be good (55/32) in the morning and almost cut in half in the evening. There is no SA here that I'm aware of. What every they did, I'm happy with it.

@@NaterTater I’ve been super pissed off with reliability, turns out I’m using (via cheeta) a beta service. Love the speed when it works though. I’m usually 400mb+ for downloads

Shouldn't the core side be independent from the RAN side? I would think all traffic including LTE would flow through the new core, right? So why are there separate RAN modes for SA and NSA?

I still have the Nokia transcan gateway and lots of drop outs in the past few months. Which third party gateway do you recommend most? I'd like to try one to see if it can improve my uptime.

Mr. Nater Tater, I need your help, Sir. Have you looked at the Verizon WNC-CR200A? Can a Waveform 4x4 be hooked up to it? Waveform is unsure, as they haven't had a chance to test that particular model, which to my understanding was released by Verizon last month.

I've been experimenting over the past year with the chester cheetah and i have found at my location that 5g SA is more stable and low latency only using n41 and n71. The NSA definitely has more bands available 2,66,71,41,4, 41 but it jumps around so much on the bands that it causes some buffering sometimes. SA is locked on n71 and n41 it may not be the fastest download in this mode but the upload is great averaging around 70-75 upload and 180-220 down continuously.

Hi Nate, Jack From Salem OR, I asked for some help a few days back on a previous video of yours. Been checking speed on my TMHI Sagencom and this morning at 4:25am the results were Down/Up/Ping = 3.77Mbps - 20.46Mbps and 45Ms. The speeds have been getting worse since my initial install. Is there no other way to improve this without buying 3 to 400 dollar antenna's and 4 to 500 dollar 3rd party modems/gateways etc.??? Thanks in advance for your help, Regards, Jack I had hoped congestion would not be an issue at 4:30am

Placement of the gateway can have a big effect so I always encourage that first. Otherwise an antenna an/or gateway is the way to go.

I’m very happy with my TMHI, going almost a year with it, my tower unfortunately only has b66/71/2 and n25 and 71, god willing I’ll see n41 and perhaps 77 one day, it’s only a gig backhaul, but in my area it’s consistently pulling 200/35 on b66/n41 from a tower 1 ish miles away, my phone has UC SA on n25 and it’s doing well over 400/40 24/7, T-Mobile is only getting better month over month, luckily for my my home town is two blocks away line of site. Hopefully they upgrade to 10 gig soon, a new isp is laying fiber soon, and they are touting 10g for all, and my house is in the early layout side, so maybe they will upgrade the tower, or I’ll get cheap fiber finally, win win either way.

You live in cellular heaven. Around here all we have pretty much is Verizon. When it's at its best I get 40 to 60 megabits which is okay, but when it's not good it's less than 1. Pitiful!

If i go into my eng menu of my phone i can force it into SA mode and there is definitely a difference. Signal reliability though isn't great if on N41.

There is no singular answer for that. I suggest checking out my Waveform playlist and seeing which video best applies to your question. Regarding ATT, with Yeacomm and external antenna, I can lock onto a nice 5G signal, but it won't connect. With the Sim in the Air Hub, it says LTE only and doesn't seem to try connecting to a 5G signal either. Wondering if that's by design or maybe I'm not using the right APN in the Yeacomm. Seeing as the Air Hub isn't connecting or showing 5g either, I'm guessing their not allowing it in my area. Fortunately, I have TMHI as well which absolutely rocks. Good speeds and ping.

@@migueldominguez1931 I did, though it connected without me inputting imei. I entered it manually anyway. I can't find the APN the Air Hub is using so I'm using AT&T in the Yeacomm and it connects to LTE just fine. Appreciate any suggestions.

Hi Nate I don't know if it would help you or not but, I on the Cheetah disabled the B2 and N2 because they were so much slower. Now it locks on B41 fast and better speeds and ping times. You might want to try this on your Cheetah to see if it helps you. Thanks Nate for another great video.

Yes, great point. It is often worth it to play with different bands to see which provides the best speed. For this demo I left all bands active though.

Are people seeing an improvement on the new white box? Compared to the black box with the screen on front. I don’t no the names lol. My black box runs at 600+ with 20 to 30 ping. I’m hoping for the same or better with the white box I have on the way. I have my own antennas outside.

I'd say similar, especially if you're already using the external 4x4. Also, with those speeds I'd be happy!
