I Bought Me A Ryobi 16 Inch Scroll Saw I Read Some Videos & Reviews On The Ryobi Scroll Saw Before I Bought It I Never Seen Nor Heard I Could use Pined Or None Pined Blades. Now I'm Glad I Viewd This Reveiw Video. Now If I Ever Need Blades For It It Don't Matter What Type Blades I Buy.

I love the looks of the Dremel. I need a small scroll saw as my projects are small as is my space. Any suggestions?

As always “ buyer beware “ ! The Wen and and Ryobi discussed here are virtually the same. I bought a Ryobi 16 “ for my grandson but unfortunately he was not interested. Being a toolmaker I always look at machinery from an engineering point of view. Looking for a suitable 16” scroll saw I soon discovered there were many brands ( New Zealand ) but I noticed that most 16” brands were identical. Wen, Ryobi, Sheppach, Carbatec, Ozito, Tooline, Toolshed etc. Compare the shape of the castings, table and most other parts and all made in China and same mouldings etc. The only thing they do is adding more attachments like Lamp, variable speed, flexible shaft for drilling, foot pedal , Motor( quality ) etc.etc. and that explains often the difference in price . The colour scheme of the saw will fool the buyer it’s a different saw. Don’t be fooled they are all the same. The Jet is basically a Carbatec which is basically the Excalibur ! I don’t think the Excalibur is sold under that brand name anymore but by a variety of other names. After selling the Ryobi I was fortunate about 2 years ago to come across a scroll saw at an auction which I bought for $ NZ 220 . The brand name is “ GENERAL INTERNATIONAL and is a 30” one. This is one of those Excalibur’s that is sold under a different name. The JET in this video has the ability to have pre loaded blades and I wondered how that was possible till I saw the added slot in the table. As far as quality is concerned I believe buying Chinese is buying expensive because you have to by twice ! BUYER BEWARE and ask the seller uncomfortable questions because we are being duped buying s$&*(()(‘jujuddsxfgt

DeWalt may be "an American brand" originally, but in name only. Like most other tool brands, almost everything they sell is made elsewhere, mainly in China.

Not a good review really, only low end or mid range saws Hegner, RBI, Excalibur now your talking good scroll saws. If this is all you are going to review then you should stop pretending to review the best saws while leaving pout the best saws.

The fact the Dremel saw is on this list tells you they have no idea what they're talking about. Probably just looked on some trending list and read the manufacturer's description. The Dremel saw is an embarrassment to the Dremel name. You'd think it were good enough if you're looking to just make small projects... The thing with scroll saws is the huge amount of vibrations they make. You can't just clamp something like this to the edge of table without running into problems. The Dremel saw is all over the place if you try to use it's portability and not make some custom contraption to make it more permanent.

Back that bus right up !!! I have the Dremel MS20 Moto Saw. Okay, it's not the size of some of the others and it may be made with a lot of plastic. For me, in a limited spaced shed, it's attached with rubber between the base and worktop to which it is clamped. I have done loads of jobs on it and it's performed well. I put a usb powered blower and light on it and cut all manor of substrate on it. I admit that with pinned blades tiny fret work is limited but mine doesn't shake all over the place and okay, you can't put spiral blades on it as they aren't made . . . yet. I use it within it's limitations and that's fine with me . . . and probably many others alike. I do agree that the demo/review is false and just a factory sales blog. So don't be a negative ranter. Just say that you don't think it's for you for whatever reason, but everything in life has it's place eh !!!

This is not a review. It is a compilation of manufacturer's promo videos, this is done for affiliate commission, none of these saws has been tested.

You will still have no clue after this video... I would not reccomend any of these saws... Even the JET that is supposed to be a better or more high end saw is a waste of money.... Just look at how it vibrates in this video... If you want to buy a Scroll saw that really does what its meant to do there are only really 2 Brands - Pégas (Swiss made) or the Hegner (German made). Yes you are going to pay more but you will get a good back up service and parts available for all the models... Hegner would be my recomendation... Rather the entry level Hegner than the bells and whistles rebadged ones... hope you have not wasted any money on one of these... As a budget option that still does a great job the Proxxon DS 460 is a very good buy for the first time buyer...

The Dremel motosaw is alright... the downside is the blades are shorter, and cost an arm and a leg.

i suspect that the Dremel unit you review could be used to cope molding? If so this coping molding could be incorporated into your video.

Ryobi and dremal in this list are a joke. The no. 1 best scroll saw hands down is the Pagas 21", all others can't even compete.

Any scroll saw that doesn't have an adjustable bed is a 'one trick pony' and shouldn't be considered by any beginner.
