👋 Jamie, I have 3 nieces. My middle niece just started her first day of kindergarten last Wednesday August 16th. My youngest niece is the only left at home. She won’t be starting her first day of school til 2 more years.
Oh my goodness! The girls at the end. So precious. Nothing wrong with being excited for school to start. I used to be the same way. I liked to get back to a routine. My boys are grown and I really miss these days. The excitement of a new school year.
The end was precious!!!!! Sweethearts!!❤❤❤ I get the mixed emotions of going back to school and summer ending. I have 2 boys in elementary school and a daughter starting preschool. I will have a quiet house for a few hours and the ability to clean and feel accomplished. Cleaning in the summer with all the kids at home is like brushing your teeth with Oreos. I need to do caddies for each kid downstairs in our guest bathroom!!!!! YES! Such a great idea❤❤. The bottom under my sink in there is open like yours, but we have dark wood cabinets and tan sink top instead of white like yours. Hope your girls have a wonderful school year!!!!
The memory box idea is the best suggestion for any parent. I have one for my boys. Just last week in preparation for the new school year, I took my eldest son's box, looked through it and "closed" it. He started college this week, and looking through 18 years of memories as a family with him just had me in my feelings for hours. Seeing his first attempt at drawing when he was one year old, looking at the first time he wrote his name, reading his first mother's day card to me.....we all were struck by how quickly time has passed us by. Cherish EVERY moment with your kids. They are fleeting.

love the caddy idea! definitely want to try that. one thing we have been doing is putting the kids socks in a basket close to the front door (we dont wear socks in the house cause the floors are slippery) and they just grab their socks put them on, their shoes and then out the door. with 5 kids, it feels easier too to just fold up their socks and just throw them all in the basket together :)
Love the back to school organizing motivation. Don't feel bad or guilty about feeling a little relieved that the kids will be back in school. Parents need a break from the kids, the kids need a break from you AND from each other! The constant snacking, cleaning, and other activities, not to mention being around each other 24/7 in the summer can be a bit draining. I'm sure most moms agree with you. ❤
Another brilliant video Jamie, love the girls at the end 😊, I know what you mean about the excitement of getting the kids back to school, every mum and dad out the feels the same, all my 3 kids are growing up now, my last one just got her big exam results today to move on to Tec before university in 2 years, time flies with our kids, the best advice I can give to anyone with young kids is, enjoy every moment as it goes so quickly, my oldest daughter is 28 year's old, my son is 23 years old and my youngest daughter is 16 years old and it feels like yesterday when they were starting nursery school, god knows time definitely does fly ❤
I’m totally with you on kids going back to school! We had a better summer than usual, and I do feel the limit of only being able to do things on Saturdays and holidays now. But I live in a small house with 4 boys, 14 years to 15 months. The arguing, and the almost constant noise!! My three oldest went back yesterday, and oh my goodness, it was soooo nice to be able to think clearly and get stuff done around the house without hearing someone tattle or ask for something!!

What a story, glad it all worked out Jamie. For my key I place it in my daily crossbody in the inside zipper section and separate it from my house/door keys. It makes it easier, with time it is now a habit to take it out of my bag if I need to transfer

Your girls are just precious! I had a terribly long night at work last night (got in around 2:30), and the kiddos did NOT want to sleep in (they woke up at 6 on the dot). This mama is tired, but that ending gives me life! Happy back to school Avery; we hope Addison and Emery have a great start to school next week!
Loved the memory boxes, and the colour choices. I made one for my son last year and i used clear display folders in each year to keep artwork etc altogether and neater. Your daughters are gorgeous, look so much like you! That was the best ending, so cute. Bless them 🙏

New beginnings are exciting! So it’s not a bad thing to look forward to the girls going back to school. Even when my kids (boys)were older, they at least like seeing all their school friends. Hey Jamie, on your door handle where the 3 little lines for the keyless entry , you can pop that off and the valet key can be used to unlock the door because there is a keyhole under there.

Jamie - I graciously welcomed back to school so we could get back to normal..If you think about it, they are in school for the majority of the year so that's the norm really...Aboit August is normally when I've had it!! Hi Jamie! My kiddos are sort of around your kids ages 6, 3 and 3. My 6 year old is a boy and my twins are girls like yours! I loved the end of your video because that's exactly what my house is like anytime all the kids are home (not at school/daycare) :P I was a little relieved to have school go back in session as well. It's really nice to have a routine for sure! Don't feel guilty about that!!

Just an FYI on all GM cars there is a hidden compartment on the outside door handle that comes off and you can insert the key to unlock the door. If you look at the bottom side of the door handle there is a gap, stick your key in that to pop the cover off and then the lock cylinder hole is right there… it looks like it’s not there but trust me it’s there. I work on cars for a living. hope this helps!
The outro to this vid, the girls are just adorable!!! Thank you again for another great vid. Very helpful! I also have mixed feelings about my kids going back to school as well. One week left! I have a 17yr old and 10yr old, both boys and needless to say the 10yr old def knows how to push the older ones buttons LOL. Overall though, I really dont complain because they are pretty good for the most part. I will have to remember that place for keyfobs!! Although I can unlock my car door with the hidden key it is a button to start the car so, I have the opposite of you.
I am the parent to an adult now but I do remember and miss the craziness of school days and it’s joys. Love your channel and prayers for a prosperous school year. I use to loose my key’s constantly. Now I use the lanyard AND I put them automaticly on a hook by the door. That way they are always there.
Hi Jamie ❣️ another wonderful video, thank you 🙏🏼 Even though my three kiddos are grown 😫 yes, I’m an empty nester (failing miserably at it lol) but I was fortunate enough to be a stay at home Mama, I remember them getting on the bus for school and then spending my alone time doing everything I could for them lol… cleaning, organizing, cooking, cute decorating etc… so even though I had that free time, I did everything with them in mind 🤗😂 I did, however, after tucking them in, enjoy a hot bubble bath, a candle, some music and a glass of Cabernet 😋 so it always balanced itself out 😌 As always, thank you so much for sharing your life, you have such a beautiful family 🥰

I always felt my years were divided into term times and holidays when mine were in the education system. Now they're both working I find that the seasons mark time more than anything else. I miss having a house and garden full of kids though, most I ever had at one time was 16, 2 of which were mine. Great memories!

Love your videos every week. It is totally normal to need a break from your kids - don’t feel guilty. Parenting is the hardest job! Raising them to be independent, kind people means they have to leave the nest some. You are a better mama if you have a breather to help your mental well being.

I had a really rough morning, our smoke detectors kept going off for no apparent reason, which is super triggering because our house burned down in the middle of the night 4 years ago and the alarms woke us up. We had the fire department come and everything is okay, just a faulty detector in our guest room, but I didn’t really calm down until I watched your video. Thank you for bringing some peace into my day! ❤
I totally feel the same way as you about back to school! My son started kindergarten at a new school and the stress I’ve felt 🤯 I was completely unprepared! And don’t feel bad one bit for looking forward to your kids going back to school. If any mom tells you they’re not, they’re lying. Kids need routine and structure Also love your meal prep at the end! You could throw in some frozen spinach in between layers for an easy veggie serving! Love your adorable girls ❤ ‘I love my bestest mommy in the world’ girl you are killing it in life ❤
