Hi Lisa! I totally agree with you about the Sisley Blur Expert. I use it everyday before foundation and also love it on top of makeup. There's something so magical about it! I also love using Sonia G brushes with it-I usually use the Niji Pro or Buffer Pro. I have the Chantecaille Perfect Blur Powder as well and have enjoyed it but need to be careful around my fine lines, unlike the Sisley. I haven't tried the Cle de Peau, but it looks amazing on you. Thanks for the video! I'm a huge fan of blurring makeup...the more filtered, the better!

Right! It is so lovely! Ohh I haven't tried the Niji Pro yet, but plan to pick it up when it restocks! Good point about the Chantecaille powder! I will keep that in mind for viewers with more fine lines, so thank you for letting me know!! :)

I love the CdP pressed powder, my first experience w their powder was a few yrs ago. I purchased a limited edition pressed compact, the powder was slightly pink in tone and the compact was reminiscent to me of Alice in Wonderland. I went through it so quickly and I was in awe by that powder. An absolutely stunning powder. Great video, you look lovely as always.

Great Video Lisa!!!! I have the Sisley Blur Expert and I LOVE it as a primer as well!!! The Chantecaille Perfect Blur is beautiful but a bit too dark. Although…I heard a rumor that Chantecaille is coming out with a lighter shade of the Perfect Blur!! Looks like I need to try the Clé de Peau Refining Powder next!!!❤️
@lisabillson
@lisabillson Год назад
Thank you so much!! Oohhh yes, I could see the Sisley being a bit too dark. I really wish they would bring out more shades! I hate this "universal" powder, because that is just not a thing haha. So happy if Chantecaille releases the powder in a lighter shade!! I hope the rumor is true! ❤

Great video, Lisa🙌 very informative, especially for me, who never liked powders. Sisley one, was on my wishlist, and i forgot about it. So i definitely want to try. I still have Chantecaille eclat powder, from a few years back, holiday collection, so i dont need another for now. I also have Hermes one, do you like that one? But its great to know which one to get when i need . P.s i took your advice,🙏🙌and got Chantecaille lotus highlighter. Its so beautiful, and so natural. Have a blessed day🙏🧡

Thank you for this video. Super informative. Have you tried the Westman Atelier powder in the skin tone color? I can’t remember if you made a video. It’s a very nice finishing powder as well. I think it has less sheen than the Chantecaille new one. As a fan of barely there highlighter, I love the Chanel Les Perles. So tempted to get the Chantecaille to use as a highlighter but my Chanel looks new still. These products last forever, lol. I want the new Chanel concealer so I have to pick one Xmas present for me.😂

I actually haven't tried the Westman Atelier powder yet!! It keeps selling out! Hopefully I get the chance to try it soon! It definitely sounds really lovely from your description of it, and something I would enjoy! Haha, yes highlighter does last forever!! I need no new highlighters for at least 5 years to get through like 2 of mine lol. The new Chanel concealer is a great Christmas present for yourself!! ❤

Quick question I do have the Sisley blur powder, but found it didn’t work well on top of my face makeup. Thus I’ve left it in the drawer. I do mostly wear skin tints, I love a very natural look. I have never even tried to wear medium coverage. I wear the Chanel Les beiges water tint, or my CDP radiant cushion foundation, Sisley phyto hydra teint, Westman Atelier vital skin foundation stick, I have many Chanel foundations, or rather CC cream & Les beiges sheer healthy glow moisturizing tint. I also have the new CT foundation, another cushion I haven’t opened by Sisley. Giorgio Armani neo nude & YSL all in one glow. I’m in my 50’s and prefer a glow to my skin, natural, radiant, but just never needed a full coverage. Also I love makeup but not the feeling on my face! Weird 😅😆 I know. I am wondering if you have tried this blurring powder by Sisley under the cushion or skin tints? Also have you used this with the CDP new foundation? Thank you! I love your content, just been so busy with work. Wishing you a Blessed Thanksgiving 🫶🏼
@lisabillson
@lisabillson Год назад
Haha, not weird at all! Totally understand! Yes!! I have tried the Sisley powder underneath cushions and skin tints and it is even lovelier under those! It adds longevity to those products which I absolutely love, so I have had no issues under lighter coverage foundation! Just make sure you don't apply the powder all over your face, and focus right on the center and it is gorgeous under those! I haven't tried it under the new CDP foundation, but I did try it under the old CDP the foundation and it is also excellent under that one! Thanks so much for the lovely comment! ❤

Lisa, thanks to you I have all 4 of these! I bought the Sisley blur expert to use as a primer after one of your earlier videos a couple of years ago but I haven’t thought to use it to touch up. I use the hummingbird powder and the CdP most often I would say and I just bought the glow recently after your review video. I used to be intimidated by powders but you’ve totally changed how I feel about them and they are total game changers in my makeup routine now! ❤

I know this may be a silly question, but is it possible to use one of these powders as a powder foundation? I don't need super high coverage, I've been using the Chantecaille under the eyes and it's amazing and was thinking of trying it out for daytime looks during summer
@lisabillson
@lisabillson Год назад
Not a silly question at all!!! You could definitely use these powers as a powder foundation - the coverage would be extremely light, but it would act great for blurring and perfecting capabilities and add slight coverage - the powders I would recommend if you specifically wanted to use them as a powder foundation would be either the Chantecaille Perfect Blur powder or the Sisley Blur Expert, since those are tinted and both of those add the slightest amount of coverage - perfect if you are a minimalist and don't require/like a lot of coverage! ❤️

I have 3 of 4 of these powders now and absolutely love them! The descriptions you gave are so accurate! All gorgeous powders for different purposes and as a person who gets "shiny" half way through the work day I love the having the Cle de Peau to touch-up. For mornings I do love the Sisely as a primer underneath foundation and also the Chantacaille for T-Zone finishing. I am wondering where we can buy Sonia G brushes in the US? I'm only seeing them on a site called Beautylish, which I've never used before. I'd be interested to try the brush. I've been using a stiffer brush that came in a monthly Beauty box subscription from Macy's. It does work to 'stamp' on powder, but I feel it is a bit harsh.
@lisabillson
@lisabillson Год назад
Hi Sarah!! Yay! So happy you love the powders as much as I do!! Beautylish is the only place that carries the Sonia G brushes in the US & Canada (that I am aware of!) Beautylish is honestly a really good brand to buy from. I have had nothing but positive experiences, and if I need help, their customer service has been very helpful as well (their shipping is superrrr slow though - at least to Canada!) The Sonia G brushes are honestly worth it for how luxurious and soft they feel on the skin! ❤

Hi Lisa! Thank you for review!:) I would love to try Cle de peau powder, foundations, eyeshadows etc. but this brand is not available in Australia and everywhere I found this brand they don’t ship to Australia. 🙁 Chantecaille is not on my list with makeup products. I just don’t like the brand and in my opinion is overpriced. I love Sisley but I prefer phyto compacte poudre in natural shade and for me is the best setting/finishing powder ever. I have tried Westman atelier powder and the one from Sisley is superior. Have a nice week!😊

I haven't tried that version of the powder yet! ❤
