It's great. Please don't get fooled though. It is mass industry that causes problems. Even almond milk is cause huge environmental damage from land clearing, irrigation and industrial agriculture methods. It's like the organic vs local food debate. It's great to see these types of products trending. Trying to keep it in the hands of small batch and independent produces will help keep the zero waste, zero waste. Edit: fill to clearing
Ahh yes the dreaded greenwashed bamboo toothbrushes. The ones I carry in my shop are FSC certified bamboo & castor bean bristle toothbrushes. I did a video a while ago on this bamboo toothbrush scandal. I think it’s time for another update!😄💚
@@loveofearthco thank you 💚 I think there is no other option in the European stores than bamboo brush with nylon bristles often they dont even write the composition listed on the packaging so I dont know if its really nylon but cmon... what could it be
Tried out Zerras products - thanks for the recommendation! I am in love with their walnut body scrub!!! However, my husband and I are both ADDICTED to your Love of Earth peppermint lip balm! We live in the Northeast, so recently winter has been super hard on us and all the essential oils in your lip balm has been a LIFESAVER for our lips (*and marriage! 😝) ❤️❤️ We've been doing a lot of zw swaps lately - shower products, soaps, toothbrush products, makeups...I should make the swap to hairties! 💚
How much is the toilet paper? Also, if I can’t find it in stores nearby, I don’t know whether ordering them in would be good because of the emissions that come with delivering things
Carbon emissions from both commercial & passenger aviation attributes to less than 2% of global carbon emissions. (That if the paper is coming by plane, which most of the time that’s what’s happening. So I wouldn’t be too worried about having them shipped to you :)
& as far as costs goes I believe I pay around $30 for 24 rolls! So many ZW toilet paper companies offer subscription plans where you can save 10% each order so totally worth it in my book!😍
What an inspiring bathroom! Thank you for sharing 💕💕 Any suggestions for a ZW floss holder? Unfortunately, my skin’s too sensitive to wrap floss around daily…🙁 And am I storing the lotion bars wrong? I got the orange vanilla and baby lotions but they keep pebbling/falling apart when using. Should they only be stored at room temp? My bathroom gets pretty cold because it has a separate heating system…could that be the problem?
I have a flosser from quip. (They want you to buy their refillable floss, but I think you can just use any floss you prefer.) Maybe check that out? It is made from plastic, however, it’s reusable & could last your lifetime.
Question, we are slowly switching to as zero waste as we can agree on. How did you switch out some of the plastic items, like hair brush, combs, laundry basket, etc.
I say use that stuff until it’s all gone! Hang on to your brushes & keep using them- some of the most sustainable products are the ones you already own. As for detergents, use them until they’re gone THEN switch to a more sustainable option 💚 you’re on the right track
I love all your zerowaste supplies an try to find as much zerowaste aswell my toothbrush an my toothpaste tablets are an my soap is handmade by this lady l know so far lm getting there🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏🌏🌐🌐🌐🌐🌐🌐🌏🌏🌏😊😊😊
I use period panties, I use a simple planet mail order refillable hair care, I have a toothbrush that has a recycled handle and I replace the heads, I tried bamboo toothbrushes and the bristles kept falling out and I hated it. I use deodorant powder which are refillable and come in paper. I use body wash bars and shampoo and conditioner bars. I use who gives a crap recycled paper toilet paper, our hand wash is blu land tablets that come in compostable wrappers, we also have a bidet, during the winter months my husband uses the toilet paper rolls as fire starter.
I have shampoo and body soap bars 🧼 I have a soap bar I want to grate for hand soap because it’s expensive even if you can buy the giant refill bottle it’s too tedious…. 😅
It's the natural coloring. Eventually it will stop but id keep them out of the water the best you can. Sounds like you always wanna take things into water that shouldnt be there LOL!
Unfortunately my bathroom is maybe 5% zero waste, even then that's only because I have a shampoo bar and that once a product has been bought, it's getting used until every last drop is gone and then the packaging recycled.
Very nice! But reusable period supplies heck not. Natures way pms will give a women’s body the proper nutrition to have a lighter, short cramp free period.
