I have decluttered hundreds of makeup products that marketing told me would fix and hide everything I didn't like about my appearance but since becoming minimalist, I've learned to let go of striving in so many areas of my life and just be content with what I have...the skin I have included! I used to spend the time applying makeup thinking about all the issues I had with my skin and all the things I either needed to work on or fix with more products but now I just really enjoy taking a few moments every day to care for it and do this simple + natural everyday makeup routine.

Welcome to Madisun Gray, the place I share passionately about my love for minimalism, healthy living and “superfoodie” vegan recipes.
Five years ago I read a book called The China Study by PhD T Colin Campbell and it sparked my discovery of a whole new world and changed my mindset completely about health. I’m not one to do much of anything halfway and quickly got my hands on every plant-based book, podcast and documentary. I didn’t just sip the super vegan extra organic Koolaid, I drank it straight out of the fire hose.
Right away, I noticed big changes in my health and wellbeing. That’s when I started questioning other “normal” things I was doing in my life just because everyone else was. Things like pesticides, processed food, home and beauty products filled with chemicals and ingredients I couldn’t pronounce and spending the working hours indoors.
Today I am free of Asthma, endometriosis, hypothyroid, acne, acid reflux, fatty liver, a medicine cabinet full of prescriptions and expensive creams and have had two vibrant, healthy vegan pregnancies.
I feel lighter and healthier than ever and hope that you’ll feel inspired to transform your health and life with some of the same simple diet and lifestyle changes I have.
I am on this journey as much as you are and don’t pretend to have it all figured out. I never get tired of learning and trying new things to make life the best it can be and love having conversations with like-minded people about continual growth.
ABOUT ME
I’m a California native who grew up in a town with about as many cows as people. My favorite childhood memories are from time spent at the beach house on the bluffs of rural Mexico. It was nothing but a place to crash but I loved every minute of time spent there with my younger brother, our parents and friends.
I met my husband in high school (the only one in our town) and we’ve been dating since we were 15. Sometimes I can’t believe we’re those same two people but the longer we’re together the more I actually believe soul mates might actually be a thing.
We live in a tiny one-bedroom, one-bathroom beach bungalow only a few houses off the water. I know we won’t be able to make this place work much longer since our family keeps getting bigger but we sure love living minimally and spending our days by the ocean just playing with our kids. We recently welcomed our second baby into our happy little home and got to experience our first planned home birth. There are no words for how much I love home birth. I labored for three hours in the comfort of home and will never get over how incredible it was to welcome him in such a relaxed, easy, peaceful setting. I love a good labor and delivery story.
I’m a total health nut. If I need to recharge I’ll reach for a podcast about something I want to learn more about in the health world, especially superfoods and I’m always reading at least five books.
