I bought a 25kg bag of sodium bicarbonate from a pool/spa shop online. Just another avenue for your baking soda. It says it's suitable for use in spa's so I'm assuming it would be fine for bath bombs. It's 99% pure. I'm in Australia.

I have a question and don't think my silly lol So, I live in Australia and we have electric kettles here as until coffee machines took off in popularity, it was how we made our coffee. Yes, it was instant coffee😅 I have heard you guys in America don't use them. Are they not available in America? It could solve your hot water issue in the studio.....just a thought?

Hi Jerika, I’m no expert,but you can tap on the base of the bb till you hear a hollow sound ie: releasing it. Then place a piece of cardboard on the bottom of the bb flip it over place it on the tray then tap tap tap on all sides of the top till you hear a hollow sound releasing the top that way your not juggling the fragile bb. Hope that makes sense. 💕

Suggestion, unmold the top of the cupcake first not last.Then put the top down so the weight doesn't cost the bomb to fall apart during drying. Walmart has cheap cornstarch in the baking aisle. I highly suggest trying some other places other than brambleberry. I know Brambleberry is popular but they are expensive and there are other companies that are great. The soap mold, turn it upside down and use your thumbs to push the down so they pop out.

I absolutely love that you're confident enough to show us your bloopers or where you may run into issues. Most people try to hide their errors and make it look soooo easy, but these turned oit beautifully.

I love these too! Try to unmold it upside down, so the bottom is already down that way you won't have to flip it over. That's always terrifying!😊

These are cute and fun to make!!! I use these type molds all the time. I found that if you have a small sturdy piece of cardboard and possibly a square piece of parchment paper, you can put that piece on top of your Bomb, flip it, then slide on onto your tray with the parchment paper. I hope that made sense. love watching your videos!!

I always had fun making these, too, and they did really well in my stores. I used a whipped soap/soap combo for the top so it was hard enough, but also frothy. That part was a little time consuming, though.

Haha! It was hilarious trying to be careful and dropping them anyways 😂. I use a canon g7 x mark iii mounted on a tripod that has the ability to bend forward 90 degrees. You can see it in the shots from the camera facing directly in front of me. I love this camera! I love the overhead angle so much 😊

Nice, and I've seen where a stiff plastic or cardboard placed on the exposed part, then flip and put on the drying rack helps a lot!

cut pieces of card board to turn them out on then set them down card board and all, thats what I do with delicate bombs. the less you handle them the better

Question, I haven’t found a green mica that is FDA approved for lips which they say is the proper category for bath bombs. I typically buy from mad micas, am I using the wrong distributor for greens?

You could be correct in the green mica I’m using not bring FDA approved. This is something to be careful about for sure! This is not an excuse, but as a Canadian, I 100% need to remember this with my transition to the states. Thank you for the important reminder!

You can mix yellow and approved blues together to make green. I do it all of the time.

The bath bomb mold was 2.5” in diameter and the silicone ball mold was regular sized.

I have never tried bathbombs myself but my daughter wants me to add it to my business. I am hesitant because it seems to be math intensive lol I figured, if I am going to add it to my line, I must try one from a knowledgable maker and since you use most of the ingredients I already use I know it's of great quality. not really once you get your recipe you like its easy . I use measuring cups and spoons I dont go by weight

Yes! Bath bomb making is so fun and the learning curve can be daunting, but worth the struggle once you figure it out!
