I love this pattern so much, I'd like to make it into a headband. How long should my foundation chain be/how many stitches?

The way I make those is I chain about 20 to make it a wide headband then crochet until the band's ends touch when you place it around your head, touch not overlap. Don't stretch it when you're measuring it. Then just close it up in a twist 🤩

I love this! I have made headbands like this and when sewing ends together, I don’t have those two small gaps. Is there a reason why you recommend seeing it together that way?

Not really. Both ways work. I just like that it lies flat on the surface for a cup cozy. That's the only reason I decided to go with this method for the cozy. 😊

This will fit up to a 20 oz. (Venti) cup but honestly it's stretchy enough that I'm sure it will fit a larger cup. I've used it on a 30oz. (Trenta) iced drink cup
