This is a great video! I've viewed hundreds of jazz tutorial videos and this is truly one of the best I've ever seen. Just what I needed. One very tiny nit: I don't think 1929 was the heart of the swing era. That came in the late thirties and 40s, right?
😀What do you guys think of this jazz standard? 🤔I love the bit when the Cminor7 comes in at the start of the B section. Very useful addition to the repertoire. The work just begins once you've know these basics, but well worth the time. Many play this up tempo, so I tend to stay horizontal, the exceptions being use of Lydians for the m7b5 chords. Moving up and down with the pentatonics is useful up tempo, too, at least for me.
Thanks for sharing this. Your approach to teaching is easy to grasp and it can surely help any student, regardless of level. This song is very special to me, as it was my 1st assignment at Gary Burton's Jazz Improvisation Course at Berklee Online. I will revisit the song and apply your concepts for sure. Cheers!
@@jazzguitarwithandy , your concept is a game changer, Bro. It can help students in busting out of their molds, and introduce a new world of colours to play with. Jazz Improv Course with Gary Burton is solid and will keep you busy for sure. If you have the time, give it a go. Cheers!
I dont mean to be so off topic but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost the password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me
