It’s so sad to see your caretaker become insane and not even know who you are but you still remember and see them like that

I stopped watching adventure time some time ago due to how the plot was all over the place. But I do remember Marceline and Simons relationship. Never thought it would hit that hard. Someone who took on the responsibility to watch after you, maybe even raise you for a small while, and then you loose them. Bittersweet finding them again, but they have absolutely no idea who you are. I remember my grandmother’s boyfriend who I always called uncle Robby when I was little. To me, he took the role of a grandfather figure (I don’t have a relationship with neither of my grandfathers on my mom and dads side). One day he moved away. Few years went by and I ran into him. He didn’t remember me, as he had a accident that pretty much washed out half of his memories. And the cost of his legs. But he was kind though. It hurt that he didn’t remember me, but I’ll always remember him as someone who God sent to teach me, even as a child. And that my memories will not disappear. People come into your life either for a reason or a season.~
