A person can cook a dish with a few ingredients and make a delicious dish. Another will make a dish with expensive ingredients but cook with indifference making something that even a hungry dog won't eat. It's a matter of self respect. No respect to the ingredients, the cooking process and oneself. I have seen both in real life.
This is a forgotten dish. I first came across this dish in Canada many decades ago. I returned to work in HK a couple of times but never saw this dish offered anywhere. Thank you Master Sing Sing for bringing back some very fond memories.
