Yeah it’s more like 30,000 at a time at all times but people who play the game know that. The active playerbase is still a couple hundred thousand though
1:01 Specifically peppy wanted to emulate Osu Tatakae Ouendan, the original game that EBA was the western spinoff off. Peppy had imported the game into Australia and was a big fan of it. I'm not sure if he ever played EBA.
I first joined around 2014 due to videos for crazy beatmap FC's appearing in my RU-vid feed. Even since then the game feels like it went through a lot.
as someone just recently got into osu! and was immediately slapped in the face by my 6-digit friend, this was useful thanks for the free history lesson
ah I remember as little kid getting mad in the car cause it’s too bumpy and I’m trying to play elite beat agents and osu! takaedan and finally discovering osu in 2008
Nice video, also according to peppys twitter, they're just now starting to work on multiplayer for lazer which could mean that its gonna probably come out mid 2021 or so
I start playing competitive osu since i knew the game since 2013 from a fellow guy but 2015 where i start to farm pp a lot untile 2017 when i lost my pc but at the end i lost motivation as well around this time
I created an osu! account today but only have time to complete the tutorial unfortunately, any tips for a newbie and suggestions on what difficulty I should go for first? ( I only have experience in playing mobile rhythm games like Lovelive, Bang Dream, D4DJ and Project Sekai which a lot of people are saying they aren’t real rhythm games due to the scoring system be over relying on cards rather than skill)
I basically joined osu when its finished. At July of 2017, hd rework was about to be placed at the time and FGSky popping of looking like a hacker before. So basically unknown or less popular player that time = hacker. The community grown up a bit since then. To some degree at least. Im happy that I'm also part of the small history lul
