Finally someone with common sense. You are right. MIL is not an invalid. She can still cook and do chores. My Great Grandmother was 93 and was doing all those things and working in the garden. Also seeing friends and family. Even raising money to organizations that place flags on our soldier's graves. I'm sick of theses stories of MILs and what not moving in and not doing anything like they are cripples and all the work falls on the wife. That would not happen in the past, it must be some new modern crap that's happening today.

yup!!! Did you noticed the first thing that comes out of his mouth when confronted with the reality that everything was recorded was about its legality ? That tells me that on some level his wife was right all along about his mother and he knows it and is afraid of the recording. He can't bare his mother being a monster and him a mama's boy. so he wants to discredit the recording to run away from reality. Oh the EXwife made a lot more money than her former husband so the video would be handy to prove she was in a toxic abusive environment which might help her in divorce court ,or it would be her being forced to give up 1/2 of everything she owns like 10's of 1000's men had to do.

This doesn't happen just for momma's boy or girl. Any spouse or partner under the influence of a 3rd party is always a danger to your relationship. Relationship of marriage is between two people only. This bond should be respected by both the spouses without the influence of a 3rd person. No parents, siblings, or friends should have nothing to do between these two people. But when you see that one of them is influenced, walk away from such marriage because they will keep kicking you and you will have to tolerate it in silence.

It's not uncommon for it not be obvious before hand especially if you don't see their parents often. I had no idea how much my ex was a mama's boy until after we married. I knew they were close which was one of the reasons I loved him. The signs didn't show up right away. Yes, she was one of the reasons why I divorced him.
