For new tabi shoes, would you just put a protective sole or would you have to remove some of the sole? I have a couple pairs that I want to protect before wearing.
Fashion, these loafers cost around $900. You wouldn't really want to use them for sports and my pair at least has a wooden sole. It's not for everyone but they can def give a completely different vibe to an outfit.
The design originated from the Japanese culture. There they were at first used as socks for their wooden “flip flops”, but later on they were repurposed and received a gum sole so they could be used as a kind of outdoor shoe. The shoe shown in the video is by Maison Martin Margiela and is only a fashion item. The designer just liked the design and re-used it for his brand.
