I'm a bit late 3: This is definitely the story of a small resistance group in an authoritarian state. All starting with a few people seeing through the lies and becoming aware of what is actually ahppening around them. They may want to return to their previous perspective, for "ignorance is bliss". But they know that they can't and that they have a responsibility to raise awareness. However, it's only a matter of time. Someone slips up, they make a mistake, maybe they are even infiltrated. However it happened, it had to end at some point. Escape is their only option, but even so they were not succesful. Ultimately becoming yet another victim of what they were hoping to stop. Very similar to the story of the "White Rose" movement in Nazi Germany. Unfortunately also with a similar end to the story. I couldn't do justice to their tragic and yet heroic end, so I will simply copy-paste the wikipedia segment regarding their dissolution here: On 18 February 1943, the Scholls brought a suitcase full of leaflets to the university main building. They hurriedly dropped stacks of copies in the empty corridors for students to find when they left the lecture rooms. Leaving before the lectures had ended, the Scholls noticed that there were some left-over copies in the suitcase and decided to distribute them. Sophie flung the last remaining leaflets from the top floor down into the atrium. This spontaneous action was observed by the university maintenance man, Jakob Schmid.[27] Hans and Sophie Scholl were taken into Gestapo custody. A draft of a seventh pamphlet, written by Christoph Probst, was found in the possession of Hans Scholl at the time of his arrest by the Gestapo. While Sophie Scholl got rid of incriminating evidence before being taken into custody, Hans did try to destroy the draft of the last leaflet by tearing it apart and trying to swallow it. Kurt Huber was taken into custody on 26 February, and only then did the Gestapo learn about his role within the White Rose group.[8] The second White Rose trial took place on 19 April 1943. On trial were Hans Hirzel, Susanne Hirzel, Franz Josef Müller, Heinrich Guter, Eugen Grimminger, Heinrich Bollinger, Helmut Bauer and Falk Harnack. Because he did not want to issue too many death sentences in a single trial, he therefore wanted to postpone his judgment against those four until the next day. However, the evidence against them was lost, and the trial finally took place on 13 July 1943. In that trial, Gisela Schertling-who had betrayed most of the friends, even fringe members like Gerhard Feuerle-changed her mind and recanted her testimony against all of them. I like the song, the drawings and therefore the whole video 👍. I'm yet to imagine how much work was putted in here. But for now I can imagine it only for arts, bc I'm an artist too 👌 (on another acc tho; for anyone randomly interested - Old Art Factory) And the snake dude reminded me of my OC (mine isn't an actual snake, but I always associated him with one, bc of his green eyes and the way he looks with them. Also more green colour on his body overall and sharp teeth. And he's a military dictator associated with technology too :D .
