I hated Koyanskaya for all the time I've known her, utter despise, even called her Tamamo Bitch. When this track hit I was like "This feels so much like Tamamo...Like the real one, just wanting to enjoy her Extra Life"...Then the story of Tunguska developed its final arc, and I feel guilty for hating Koyanskaya for so long. I can't just...let her go with all the shit she did, but I can't just...Ignore what she represents. Koyanskaya surprised me, and now, as a NA Clairvoyance EX, she deserves my Quartz.
@@netomoreira3525 I think Tunguska really highlights her potential to become like Fou. She took his place as BEAST IV, it's only natural that she would eventually come to understand humans like he did, and she's definitely not the first BEAST who would potentially join us, as seen with Fou, Kama, and Tiamat.
@@alonelyperson6031 goetia being too tsun for the summon pool is just adorable. Even though it's gonna happen eventually and he's gonna be stuck with Solomon most likely.
@@samsaraslight8377 I'm not too surprised if we actually summon "The Chaldean Romani" actually. Since Goetia's efforts of posing as Romani seems to have some reasons behind it. Maybe its too create the legend 9f thr Chaldean man?
I like how the leitmotifs of An Extra Life with Anyone She Wants are noticeable instead of having a whole different theme, she can't get away from her original lol
Koyanskaya's theme tries REALLY hard not to be Casko's theme, but at the very end, the melody relapses to become OG's. The way the music is used to characterize her is pretty neat.
@@anadaere6861 apparently there is still something from singularity F and it won't stop burning or sum. It was shown in the 2nd trailer for arc 2 and we have kirei as an enemy along with Olga's body. So chances are we will head back there before arc 2 ends

I mean, the way it is right now i bet she IS Tamamo-No-Mae or something related to her closely, not just one of her tails or Daji. That stone above her is probably the one that originated from the death of Tamamo-No-Mae. That would explain the aptitude for Human Killing.
@@davidecosmi3449 Tamamo and Daji are bunrei of the solar deity Konjiki Hakumen, who is what is referred to by Japan as Amaterasu. Their souls are fundamentally close to identical, yet an attack made specifically to counter Daji's soul had no effect whatsoever...

Got a feeling she is actually the remnants of the explosion from Russia, or the meteorite itself. The blue stone, amalgamation of creatures, having to create a reality marble to even become a beast, the ensuring flame, etc.
Indeed. Her noble phantasm is a recreation of the Tunguska Event itself. That was implied from the beginning with Olympus fight. Her NP there was called Star of Calamity…a meteorite strike
But in that case, why Tamamo? And where would the love and hatred of humanity come from in that instance? Her being the remnants is a cool theory but it opens up a lot of questions too
@@ApexGale I got a theory. Koyan stated back in India that she has no love for humans. Didn’t seem to be lying…yet she’s clearly on the process to Beast Ascension. Further, if she has no connection to Tamamo or the GWF, why does she still use Vitch’s name, color preference, hairstyle, posed as a secretary, etc.? Well…it’s suggested that the Alien God may not be Beast VII, but using Beast VII as a vessel. We’ve also seen a Servant (Sigurd) used as a vessel for another (Surtr). The Alien God also saw Koyan as a threat, yet continued to let her gather power in its Lostbelts… My theory: Koyanskaya is using Tamamo Vitch as a vessel as well. Becoming a Beast by possessing the body of a proper Beast, so to speak. That’s why Jiang’s first NP didn’t work (Koyan’s soul isn’t related to GWF), but the second did (Vitch’s body does have a connection to GWF). That’s also why Koyan has a different height and weight compared to Tamamo…cuz her ‘Tamamo-face’ look isn’t her real appearance, just the body she’s using.
@@narutardkyuubi The thing with Surtr is tricky, though. Ophelia by all means did summon Sigurd. However, her Mystic Eye connected her to Surtr and Surtr forcibly injected himself into Sigurd's core as a result. in that case, how exactly was Koyanskaya able to put herself into Tamamo's Origin when Tamamo wasn't around Russia? Unless she was summoned there, but who summoned her there and for what purpose?
I kinda wish that the servant Ibuki Douji here is able to wear her LB 5.5 spiritron costume. Which makes the battle looks like a confrontation against Beast IV versus LB 5.5 King.
Koyanskaya's theme is really fascinating when you compare and contrast it with Tamamo no Mae's theme. Especially those harsh synth chords that start playing at 0:13. Those same chords are also in Tamamo no Mae's theme, but their they're slightly more discordant, acting as an accent to show the rest of the more traditional instrumentals into sharp relief while giving a driving power to the entire theme. But it works despite being a discordant chord because it's often subdued by the sonorous quality of the Japanese instrumentals. It fits for Tamamo no Mae: a primal viciousness and power tempered by civility, elegance, and a love for beautiful things. Present but buried deep. But in Koyanskaya's theme, that same chord is no longer an accent. In fact it is now front and center and arguably the lynchpin of the entire theme. And interestingly here it's not a discordant note. In fact, it actually harmonizes with most of the other parts of the theme and when it disappears it's not because it's being hidden by the rest of the instrumentals. Rather it's harmonizing to help build energy throughout the entire song. That primal viciousness that Tamamo no Mae tried to keep contained to a certain aspect is something that Koyanskaya instead embraces and makes the very core of who she is. And in the process makes something inspired by Tamamo no Mae and yet in essence is completely and utterly different. Just my two cents on the theme
You can see the form she was supposed to take in her foreigner np. Cerns curses caused her to mutate, along with her rushing the process because of it, she ended up looking like this.
Koyanskaya honestly fits the title of ‘Beast of Miscommunication’, because she was born out of a mistake from the Tunguska animals’ belief that the explosion was caused by humanity. Miscommunication is a sin that Humanity constantly has to overcome everyday. To me, it makes at least as much sense.
Beast gain their title through the trait they represent, not what they originates from. The idea of Miscommunication sounds plausible for a Beast, but Koyan isn't exactly it.
0:13 I have never felt a presence so huge. I’m just sitting alone inside of a small room and then this part kicks in and it feels like there’s something extremely humongous towering over me. The chills kick in like crazy. It’s so fucking cool.

She was a good villain, at first was only a despicable character, but she also had honor, and would even help us if the situation required it. She had to pay for what she did, and i expected we ending kill her, but I think that end was the ideal for her. Goodbye Beast born of a misunderstanding, we will never get along but I hope you find a place for you.
She actually loves humanity. Well, all Beasts do. She loves the aspect of us being the dominating species of the planet, even our aspect of killing each other for no reason at all she loves. However she hates that we're making animals into pets instead of for survival or domination. And she is also the amalgamation of the hatred of the animals that died in the Tunguska Event, she is forced to "hate" humanity. But because she doesn't want to hate humans any more, she chose to end all humanity.
@@kusanagi-no-tachi5303 That's not quite true. She hates humans because the animals that died in the Tunguska Event had nobody to blame for their unfair demise, so they blamed humans for their mistreatment of animals instead. However, she also loves all animals unconditionally and humans are technically animals, so her ultimate position is more or less neutral. She didn't want to end humanity, rather she wanted to become a creator goddess like her surrogate mother.

I kinda bugs me that Chaldea keeps being shocked at how powerful even incomplete Beasts are. Like we already killed 2 fully fledged Beasts in Arc 1 and in events tied to Arc 1.5 and 2 we kill 2 incomplete ones in addition to that before the first fight with Koyan-chihuahua. Come on team, we've done this like 4 times already - we got this! Beryl knows what's up - we already plowed through 5 of his fellow Crypters and at least some of them are better mages than him not even counting Kirschtaria, so he realizes that he's actually the underdog in this conflict and needs to pull every trick in the book to stand up to us.
...I don't think they were expecting to meet up with Goetia/Tiamat tier entities again and again tho. Like just because the previous beasts were horrifyingly strong doesn't mean the current beasts pose any less of a threat. (Not to mention, usually with these things, complete beasts are seemingly impossible to beat without meeting certain conditions [Romani, Gramps], so it's no wonder they are shocked at complete beasts)
@@alonelyperson6031 Why wouldn't they expect it? Vitch outs herself as a Beast candidate in LB5.2 so by Tunguska we already know to expect something of Goetia/Tiamat's caliber. Or rather of Kiara/Kama's caliber since this is Vitch with just 6 tails and is still an immature Beast like the versions of III we fought. Needing to meet certain conditions to destroy even an immature Beast has been pretty consistently the case every time encounter one of them. Kama literally WAS the Universe.
@@Phantom_of_Black Hm...I guess its more of a kaiju encounter kind of thing. You've met them before. But they are still scary/impressive when you see Godzilla sucker punching a building.
It's because you never know what sort of reality bending fuckery to come from a beast while something like a dragon or some manner of giant are more straight forward. Frankly outside of Goe (I don't want to try and spell his name on mobile) we never fought one at full power as our first Tiamat was restraining herself and even then she was a force to be reckoned with while our boy was potentially the weakest of the beasts (kinda sucks for him) with incomplete ones being such a problem all on their own. You also need to remember a beast normally takes a full selection of grands to take down so it's doubtful we'd be able to defeat one unless they where incomplete (or Goettia. He tried his best though.)

There isn't one because Human Order can't send heroic spirit inside Vitch who rejects Human Order afterall. Human Order can't send counterforce if it doesn't exist considered it is her reality marble where only beast type servants can exist like summer Kiara and human servants get rejected and removed. I’m still trying to figure out what sin she is in the beast spectrum, kamas lust (I think), goetias pride, and that one nun lady’s beast of greed, what’s this one? And since beasts have an unnatural love for humanity, what’s her deal?
The seven deadly sins aren't used. They're new sins specifically from humanity as a whole. Goetia, Beast I, is Pity Tiamat, Beast II, is Regression Kama and Kiara, Beast III are Desire. Lapse for Kama and Rapture for Kiara. Beast IV had Fou (Primate Murder) as Comparison, but never really took the seat proper and Koyanskaya has took it instead. She's Cherishing.
Wrong sins. The traditional 7 deadly sins you are thinking of have been stated to have been cleansed by the messiah. The beast sins are independent of those and are something humanity cannot be cleansed of. Goetia is pity for example not pride. Vitch is the beast of Cherish.
Guess a lot of you still misunderstand or mistaken the concept of the Evils of Humanity. Once again, I remind you, YOU TIMMY, that the 7 Evils that presenting over the Beasts are not necessarily aligned to the Seven Deadly Sins. The concept itself leans towards more profound sins than the cliche aversion.

Its because she's not complete. She looks like she's trying to shed and peel off the furry skin suit if you look closely, but I doubt she will get there.
What the hell should you expect? All Beasts are not fundamentally the same. Beast IV, the treasured beast, Beast of Cherishment. Koyanskaya herself modeled the essence of wildlife that ruse against humanity.
@@rogueascendant6611 What I expected was something like a 9 tailed Fox, since, you know, she was growing tails like a Tamamo can do. It doesn't even have to be a fox, Vitch claims she is a rabbit, and LB 6 kinda teased something like a fox or bunny as well
Koyan apparently isn’t connected with Golden White Face/Amaterasu. Taikoubou’s first NP fizzled out for that very reason. Gudao explicitly states that Koyan isn’t a Tamamo. …And yet, Koyan had to restrict herself to just one tail in China and India, where GWF’s legends are strongest, afraid of being bodyjacked by Amaterasu. Something’s going on. The NP that targeted the insides did nothing, but the external NP was a partial success…
