I am often curious about how fans of original works see Fate's intriguing reenactments, or how Fate fans appreciate the source materials. I have neither read Holmes or played FGO, but following the story alone since Salem is fuelling me hype after hype. And the musics. Holy cow. Dem feels.
I think this is one of the great sparkles of Fate series, when i started watching, i didn't know nothing about the major characters, wich becomes worse when i started playing Fate Grand Order (which puts wherever the fuc they want on the game) but they do such a great job with the role of these characters that makes me so interested on their "original" lore, like Gilgamesh, for example, who made me read Enuma Elish, or Edmond Dantes, that made me read Monte Cristo Count, and even characters that i already knew, made me explore a lot more about them like Holmes, Moriarty, Quetz, Ramses II and Alexander the great
@@lordpaulphilippfernandez9904 Yeah, and he didn't even go quietly. IIRC he used himself to enforce Moriarty's defeat since in his tales, they both ended together after he fell into the waterfall.
@@happymagician1699 Yep. Moriarty even has a massive breakdown because now that Holmes died through falling a waterfall, his fate (as in Moriarty's) ended at that point, thus the Norns can't manipulate his fate in order to make him invincible.
@@lordpaulphilippfernandez9904 he still is a traitor, some of the mishaps of the crews can be attributed to holmes. It's also hinted at the beginning of the chapters that the crews already figuring out who the traitor was by the process of elimination.
@@fbihere2 he never became a traitor though. How can you attribute the some of the mishaps of the crew to him? He explicitly said that he tried not to delve deeper into the reason why he was summoned, because he subconsciously knew that something bad would happen to him. While he might really be a traitor before he gave himself an amnesia, the Holmes that we encountered in London and Camelot has always been our ally, from start to the end. That's why the last thing that he did in Traum is to throw himself off a waterfalls. That would stop the Foreign God's plan for him (specifically the role that he will play) and Young Moriarty's plan (which is to make Holmes betray Chaldea in order for him to swoop in and take over it).
@@RedGold999 in the original Sherlock Holmes novels, both he and Moriarty have their fight over in Reichenbach Falls. The ending is that both of them fell off said falls, though Holmes faked his death and travelled with Helena to the Himalayas.
@@lordpaulphilippfernandez9904lmao I don't remember the traveling to Himalaya part with Helena 🤣 But if it's BBC Sherlock, yes he goes to Himalaya and turn into Dr. Strange. Maybe our holmes would do the same and turn into mystic arts practitioner.
Remember what happened the last time Holmes fell into Reichenbach Falls? I highly doubt this would be the last time we see of this Holmes, he might pop up in the final battle as an enemy.
@@gabrielink1709 oh no super strong but super dangerous! He can unveil any mystery far easier. The reason why he’s in a ruler class is more sort of a better solution.
Did you read his dialogues throughout this chapter? He knows what he's going to do if the truth is reveals. This is why he betrayed his original master by wiping off his memories. He knows he's going to turn against Chaldea, his friends, if he followed his original master command. This is precisely why he let himself to die against the young Moriarty beside setting the fate upon his greatest rival. His death ending of him of not betraying Chaldea in the end.
Spoiler I felt like Holmes fate was worse than death because he actually summoned (by then it was a forced fate upon him to destroy humanity) He probably doesn't want humanity to end as he was part of it, the so called humanity. And he tried so hard to actually defy his fate, by erasing his memories. He actually goes against fate (the Moriarty's Norn and the alien god as the master) I hope wherever he was after this he would be summonable as what he was ought to be so he can become our proper ally this time. I love his character too much to lose characters again with the title *[data error]*
Holmes was the traitor albeit he didn’t want to be the one so before he could be used against Chaldea he let himself die while also stopping moriarty in the place where their paths ended
well, if you really wanna spoilers then its below i guess, if you have second doubts then dont click that read more. im just adding on to what the previous guy said. Holmes had originally been summoned by the Alien God (AG) as an Apostle, but Holmes didnt want to serve the AG so he sealed those memories away so he won't have to serve them. in LB6.5, he was made to remember that he was summoned by AG and as a result, he needs to obey AG regardless of his willingness to. So, he purposely sacrificed himself in his battle against Moriarty, so that, 1) he wouldnt have to face his friends, aka chaldea, as their enemy, and 2) to provide a way for chaldea to win against Moriarty, as in the original tales, both Holmes and Moriarty perished in their battle in the Reichenbach Falls. Holmes dying there will mean that Moriaty is also fated to lose and die.
@@kuuroh3266 that is why Moriarty used the power of the Three Norns he was fused with to change his fate to die to Holmes, problem is since that was his final fate in the novels thus from this point on he has no fate therefore can't use anymore the power of the norns to change his fate and be invincible.
@@vencislavkacarski Scandinavian gods of fate, although I’m not well versed in Norse myth so I don’t know all those details. Moriarty, similar to his Archer spirit origin, fused with the gods of fate in his summon via foreign aliens.
If you mean this very first fight it's scripted For the real fight bring your best DPS Avenger also bring sustains like Merlin Hans to last long enough If you have Bazzet you can probably min this into 3T if you can depending on the NP level
As the above comment said, use your best avenger and a sure hit or an ignore invicible ce (if u dont have any, stall for 3 turns until his evade wears off, or just use your luck) If u dont have any avenger, use your best berserker or any extra class servant to make sure you dont suffer by class disadvantage (although u need to clear fast if u bring a berserker, or u will lose fast) And if u dont have both, just use your SQ as your weapon lol
