Kinda late but yes, the reason why Gintoki chosen Rinko route and Rinko route was made to an ol woman was because at interview (not big interview, more like SBS on One Piece), Sorachi said he was "ruining" the Rinko route cause he was chose Rinko when playing the game himself, so he doesn't want Rinko to be "Dirtied" like Ayaka and Nene characters lol. Basically he's changing Rinko route cause he doesn't want Rinko to have ugly side.
