Hi, nice to meet you. I've been a fan of GHOST for a long time, but I've never commented, so I'm going to comment on my favorite song in the comments section. I'm a 12 year old Japanese, so I may be speaking weird English. I have a Japanese friend who likes the song CandleQueen and I was listening to it and I fell in love with CandleQween and got hooked. Eventually I started listening to other GHOST songs and I became more and more addicted to them. Nowadays, it's convenient and there are subtitles. You can also get Japanese translations if you set it up. But I wanted to be able to translate the songs myself without relying on subtitles. I started listening intently in English class and always got a 100 on my tests. When I am able to translate, I would like to try singing GHOST songs. One day I would like to buy a GHOST CD or go to a GHOST concert. I love GHOST songs and I support GHOST. Keep up the good work and I hope this comment reaches GHOST. Back in my high school days I always felt like this song was so close to home. I got diagnosed with BPD in college and it all clicked in my head at once. After years of extreme outbursts and episodes of willing to do anything for the one I love (who didn’t feel the same about me), threaten suicide, constant needing him with me 24/7 and letting myself be used by him, I finally got better. It just takes time, patience, and someone willing to work with you and your open wounds. It’s seriously the worst but there is hope at the end of the dark tunnel 💗 Just thought I’d share for anyone struggling with BPD
I relate to this song because I feel like all my friends want me dead, and I should leave them, but then I feel selfish. Although I'm not living for them now but I used to. I'm sometimes pushy and I want to be friends with them but I feel like they don't which is why I feel selfish. I feel like I'm lying to myself all the time and I'm alone, I also afraid to show any wrong emotions. I didn't know bpd was a thing till this comment so ty! I tend to view it in a different way. Everyone who has liked this comment agrees that they wouldn't want to do it, right? They're disgusted by the very thought of it. No one wants to do it at all. This line hits me right in the feels- Cause I used to have a cat nammed Fro and when she died I wasn't able to say goodbye to her... It hurt me so badly because Fro was one of the best pets you could have. She was calm, soft, and really loveable. Fro would occasionally come to you if you called her name unlike most cats. I really miss her.. This line doesnt make me dislike the song though. I like listening to songs that I can sort of relate to.

In kindergarden, I had a dog named Snoopy, and he was the reason my life didnt suck, because I went to a charter school where I was always either in trouble, or was given mnms (i have a severe dairy allergy), and this was because they thought Id be a failure due to ADHD, and one day I came home to find out my dad kicked him in the side and he died from it :'(

This song was found by a highschool freshman me following a breakup. During fourth through eighth grade I was bullied, harassed and pretty much verbally abused by my peers and other students for being a sped kid. ADHD, autism you know the stuff. Basically a lot of people made me feel really worthless. And it effected me throughout middle and freshman year of highschool.
By the time the breakup with my (now ex) boyfriend on the day before valentines day happened because one of his friends told him to either break up with me or lose her as a friend, I thought I was too worthless to die. If I offer myself at that point I would just burdon others. I'm okay now though. I'm healing slowly but surely!

Tbh some of these lyrics kinda remind me if my social anxiety: "Even though it's never said, I know it's true, you want me dead" could be jumping to conclusions on what another person might think of you, even if you've never met them. "I’m afraid of reaping what I sow or showing any sort of fear, but if I don’t communicate I’ll drown myself in tears" can be how social anxiety makes it hard for you to pursue what you want to sometimes due to what others might think, even if it's harmless and nobody would mind. And the other half could be how sometimes you stay quiet if you need help with something so nobody will think your annoying among other things, to the point of frustration and tears. "It’s probably best for everyone if I’m never seen again" Thinking you've messed up and now everyone hates you, thinks your weird, etc and how they probably want you gone "But I know that’s ridiculous, you don’t gotta tell me twice, I’d rather be safe than sorry, and sorry for all I’ve done" Knowing that probably nobody cares about what your doing, but not being able to shake the feeling. And the other part could be avoiding certain things to prevent bad situations from happening + apologizing for being annoying when you weren't in the first place. "My heart is quite a mouthful" The emotions and feelings that cone with this anxiety. Ik it's not what the song is about but it's just what the lyrics reminded me of, as someone who thinks they have social anxiety :))

I download this song offline on RU-vid and eventually listened to it when I was bored. One day I was going out shopping with my friends and I listened to this song with my earphones. One of my friends take a peek into my phone, she's not really a fan of art so looking into the video she thought I was watching a random cartoon girl dancing on the screen and she called me "childish". I lend my earphone to her after that and now she has become a huge Vocaloid fan, listing almost every Vocaloid voicebank character including the ones I never heard of lol, what a twist.

I never acknowledged how beutiful your style is. Fist of all the choice of vintage swing music makes the lines of the song catchy and memorable. The theme of the song is never truly pointed out, that it is only seen to be retaliation ship issues, but never stated on what kind with an implied severity. The shifts from anger to happiness are minimal, and have the charecter showing an overall feeling of mania. The robotic vocaloid voice makes it difficult to infer the singer to be psychotic or sociopathic due the overall lake of emotion given in the lines. Fellings are dirived specifically from the illustration and the song lyrics which at times can seem counter active thus increasing the overall felling of mainia. What im trying to say is the the song is very flexible. the reader can insert feelings of happy, manic, angry, or sadness along the voice. And the message can derive from a breakup, abuse, cheating, or even a yandere false relationship. I recently had to find a song that matche the poem,"A Wifes Lament", and this was the song I choose to go with it.

When I took french class in elementary school we were taught the names of the days of the week to the tune of "Happy Days." It's been over a decade since I studied -or needed- french, in general, but at least I remember the days of the week rotflol

So I cant find a theory on this at all so here are my thoughts on this song: I think the person in this song is in a toxic relationship, for the sake of it, let's call the person Maika. So. First of all, the lines at the start, it seems like Maika is happy, though the plottwist, " 'cus even if it's never said, I know that's right, you want me dead." This might be either paranoia, or getting manipulated, strongly the second one. I know the lines of "selfishness is a dirty little sinner, but for you it's my priority" strongly suggest that Maika is the toxic person, but I've been through and sadly still am in a similar relationship and it is easy to get tricked into thinking that you're bad and you're doing the person who is actually using you a bad favour. Hope that made sense because I am really tired rn *anyways* Further on, there are other multiple lines hinting at Maika being in such a relationship, I wont go through all of them though, but the lines at the very end, "My heart is a mouthful, I'll tear it out for you, I'll be the sacrifice for you." Or similar. I just passed that point of the song so sorry if I got the lyrics wrong, anyways, the song ended in Maika standing with her heart torn out, by herself, pretty obvious tbh- I think that's showing just how much Maika did for whoever she is talking to. Changing herself, acting, and then uh, that. Now onto my second theory: the distortionist. Heavy vibes that these songs are tied together, I am using my previous Ted talk to explain this: Maika mightve been gaslighted by our man Cripspspsy. This is honestly me just messing around, but the both of the songs are kind of old-radio style, B&W (except for the background in the distorionist) and the themes. This song feels very reminiscent of the paranoia/fear I developed after some unpleasant stuff in my life, I really like it. GHOSTs songs always manage to capture "ugly" feelings really well.
