【Malaysia vs Japan】Which working culture is better? (overtime, leave, hierarchy system ...etc) 

That's funny😂 Before this, I really aspired to live in Japan. But, after watching this video,I feel grateful to live in Malaysia.😅

Which country do I prefer? Lateness: Japan Posture: Japan Hierarchy system: Malaysia Chitchat: Japan (work is work, no bs talk 😂) Lunch break: Malaysia (work is important but lunch should be a good one too) Snack: Malaysia (if it doesn’t affect productivity, why not?) Annual leave: Malaysia (worker’s rights) Attire: Depends on the job (no preference) Sick leave: Malaysia (worker’s rights) Surfing the net: Japan (work is work, no unrelated bs) Addressing boss: Malaysia Overtime: Malaysia (work life balance is indeed important) Business dinner: Japan (it’s literally called business dinner so it should be business related) Thanks for reading… these are my personal opinion on Japan/malaysia work culture and which one do I prefer in a particular area.

We can always have a balance between enjoying life and being efficient. Japanese always have the discipline to be efficient and productive. Their work ethos are gold standard. We Malaysian are just lack of it.. But balance it with other things 😅

Sunami-san english is so fluent 😊😊 about the Malaysia work culture, it depends on the company too coz some company can't be just like what you demonstarte but is true that Japan work culutre is really serious focusing on work and hardly have a break moment 😢 Anyway I wish Sunami-san keep enjoying staying and working in Malaysia 😊😊

I used to work in one of the joint venture company with Celcom and SK, 10 years ago. Those Korean demands frequent meetings at 7pm and mostly ended at 8pm, those Malaysians simply went back home after 6pm 😂

Being late for 1 hour is a big deal in Malaysia. 5-10 minutes in work is still acceptable but not accepted if it happens too often

It's actually depends on the person , sometimes you got good boss but sometimes you got bad boss . Sam as the employee , sometimes you got good and sometime bad employees. Whenever we work , every workers and the boss should make our days happy 😊❤ , eventhough the work is hard . Because that's what living is about . Imagine if you got a hard job but very friendly workers and boss , I'll definitely gonna go back there again cause that's what makes me happy 😊❤ . But if the work place got a bad boss or bad workers , then i definitely gonna work somewhere else . That's why some people are depressed about their works , but keep staying because that's the only job that got good salary to take care of their family members😢.

Thank You for your video. You know as a Malaysian, I work hard and everybody don't like me because I don't smoke/vaping, I always punctual, I sometimes skip breakfast and even lunch. I just love my job. I always work until late night. I think I should go to Japan. Discipline > everything.

both side has pro and cons. if you want to be productive, can follow japan example. if you want to be less stressed, can follow malaysia example.

Budaya kerja di Malaysia agak santai tapi bukan semua tempat kerja yang dapat kerja santai. Budaya kerja di Jepun agak tegas dan mementingkan disiplin dan prestasi, serta kurang keseimbangan antara kerja dan kehidupan. Ini menjadikan kehidupan mereka menjadi tertekan. Akhirnya mereka tidak dapat mengekalkan tahap kemajuan mereka. Pada masa kini, banyak syarikat Jepun yg mengalami kemelesetan dan terpaksa ditutup. Mungkin sudah masanya kerajaan Jepun mengubah cara kerja agar produktiviti sebenar akan dapat dicapai tanpa mengabaikan modal insan.

Not so true, the late culture really depends on the person lol, i was late to work recent week due to heavy flood near my house area. When i arrive at my working place, my supervisor is angry and she stand at the front door asking for explaination, i said sorry and needed to replace the work time😂 but last time i was also late due to the same weather cause, my boss worry me and my car..😊

これは日本でもかなり厳しい会社の例ですね（笑） オフィス内での飲食を厳しく禁止している会社は聞いたことがありませんでした。 ですが日本と比べるとマレーシアの労働環境の方が良いかなと思います。 This is an example of a very strict company even in Japan (lol). I've never heard of a company that strictly prohibits eating and drinking in the office. but, I think the work environment in Malaysia is better.

Thats why japan is a good place for tourist but not for working cause they really strict on work. And not to mention the overtime that you have to do. easy to say, malaysia is how human work and japan is how robot or ai work. Thats why people in japan rather be single than married cause married life is much harder to survive there.
