これは美しいです、私のおばあちゃんは日本人です、そして彼女は私にそれをピアノで弾く方法を教えてくれました。 さくらは実は私のミドルネームです。 :) If you didn’t understand me I actually said: this is beautiful, my grandma is Japanese, and she taught me how to play it on the piano. Sakura is actually my middle name. :)
Tamsin , You are the chosen soul keeper of the harp ..one of the few who will take the harp to the next level ... In the initial part i was listening with my eyes closed and i felt someone was playing it like a Santoor ....
That's very kind of you to say - thank you so much! ;) I'm just very pleased you liked the music :) I had to look up the Santoor - what a beautiful instrument! I'd love to have a go at a harp with wire strings, it would sound even closer...!
I particularly enjoyed the zen in this piece. In fact, I experienced it AS a devotional piece. And so ends my zen tea-break as I get back to practicing so that one day I may be able to play this! Thank you for the further inspiration.
Beautiful song ,like your skill, interpretation and the feel...good job my friend Tamsin Dearnley.Greetings from indonesia. Stay healthy and success for you.
Could you tell me what key your harp is tuned in and what levers are engaged? I'd like to learn this song by ear. Which is they method I use to play. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Hello! The harp is tuned in A minor (same levers as for C major) for this piece :) So if your harp is tuned in Eb, you need to engage your E, A and B levers. Hope this helps! There aren't any lever changes, which is nice ;)
@@TamsinDearnley Hello, me AGAIN. I noticed you gave harp lessons through: www.superprof.us/lever-harp-celtic-harp-lessons-for-all-levels-toulouse-with-professional-harpist.html. Is this still the case? If so, is your rate still $27/H? I live in California, US. You're in the UK or France. Is that correct? I know there's an 8hr time difference but there is a window during the day where we can both Skype, If that is a option to teach. I am soooooo rusty. I only play be ear and prefer to learn that way. Do you teach that method still? I do need help with hand positions among other things. Also I'm starting to get arthritis in my hands and am having some problem with stretching my fourth finger. I would appreciate another response if you could. My apologies for so many msgs. to you. Thank You For You Kind Correspondence. Nancy
@@HarpSail Hi, Nancy, no worries at all - I am definitely still teaching and would be delighted to give you lessons! If you could possibly send me an email to tamsindearnley@gmail.com we can sort out the details! I'm in France, but I'm sure we can find a time that suits us both :) Looking forward to hearing from you!
Salut, Tamsin! Ton travail est vraiment une ispiration. Le son est vraiment magnifique. Bravo!
How absolutely beautiful! How did you get so many interesting sounds into one piece? I want to get the sheet music. I clicked on the link but it went nowhere. Do you sell it anywhere? I will do a search too. Thank you! You’re amazing!
Oh, thank you so much! 🥰 I just experimented a lot - I love the koto so just had a go at imitating it the best I could! The sheet music is available here (sorry, the link was broken, but I fixed it now!). I hope you enjoy it :D tamsindearnley.co.uk/sheetmusic/?id=sakurasakura
