A wonderfully skilled build, a lot of modellers with this level of talent go on to add weathering and chipping, which, whilst realistic I think sometimes ruins the overall look of the model, it's refreshing to see a finished kit just clean and in the colour scheme it would have left the factory. A top job sir. 🫡
Thank you so much for your comment. Yes weathering to 5th generation air craft is kind of dilemma. Still trying to find out what is the best for the model…
Thank you for your comment. That means a lot. I hope you enjoy phantom too! I have built and crated a video for phantom too👍ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3C4n3sRaLUA.htmlsi=cW_uxS6qVES4-poR
A great video. I am about to start one myself and picked up a load of great hints & guidance! If it is half as good as yours I will be delighted! I am also going for the "Beast Mode" with all doors open to show the fabulous detail on this kit.
Thank you so much for your comment and sharing your story! Yes building F35 in beast mode ins one of the highlight of the kits. I’m going to try F35 in flying mode some day!
Great build. The masking really paid off as the thin lines with that color way look crisp and tidy. And I haven't built a plane yet, but this build and the immense detail of this kit may have sold me on giving this a try. Tamiya engineering as well. No fuss. I'm hoping to see a video soon that's sponsored by Tamiya. 😊 You create nice builds, and I hope others also appreciate the tips and explanation of work along the way. It's a nice touch.
댓글 감사합니다! Thank you so much for your comment! Yes Tamiya kit is great. Every single parts is well precisely designed. I feel the spirit of Tamiya engineers. Also cost competitive I think. Good price!
Good work. Though I noticed some irregularities of your decals. The tail says "HMS Queen Elizabeth". Yet, it as US Markings. Not the British Marines roundel. I didn't realise there are US Marines F-35s operating with the British Royal Navy.
Thank you for your comment. Yes it is cross deck operations in HMS Queen Elizabeth in November 2021. Actually I did not know neither until one of the viewers pointed and i looked up.
Thank you “always ”for your comment and appreciated interesting my video. That means a lot to me. It is truly fun to have an interaction with people on RU-vid 😁👍
I am in love with the F35 and this kit so beautiful. Tamiya sure did knock it out of the park when they release this. I got the 1/72 F35A from Hasagawa and I can't wait to build mine. I have like, comment, and sub your channel!
Thank you very much. That means a lot to me. I used to be big fun of F15but once I saw this F35 real and came to know many features of 5th generation fighter jet, I am now big fun of F35👍
Thank you for your comment and suggestion. I closed canopy this thime because of vertical landing configulation. I will try tint canopy next time, thanks!
Very nice done on the build! But one thing.. The HMS Queen Elizabeth is UK aircraft carrier and not US. You mixed them up and put both US and UK sticker on
I am kind of ashamed that I did not know when I go back to instruction, HMS decal was correct. It was cross deck operations on HMS Queen Elizabeth, November 2021. Thank you for pointing out anyway!
wish Bandai would make almost color accurate military model kits of stuff like these, F-35, Abrams etc. like they already make 100% color accurate gundam model kits, i imagine military model kits would be harder to make color accurate right out of the box so just having the big colors right is enough for me, since these kinds of glued and painted model kits are beyond my skill and patience.
Thank you so much for your comment. Duplicating the actual fuslage color is one for the highlight for modeling. Some of the kit has originally colored parts on it but you are right, most of the colors are not accurate.
Thank you so much for your comment and feedback. Yes you are right on vertical landing configulation, the weapon bay should be half open to make air flow stable. And it’s too heavy to land vertically with bombs on bay and even half fuel should not be left. I built in with bay full open and bombs inside for the sake of modeling. Thank you for your feedback anyway!!
Thank you so much for your comment and feedback! For your information, It was cross deck operations on HMS Queen Elizabeth, November 2021. Thank you for pointing out anyway!
Built the 1/48th Tamiya F-35A which is the Air Force version. Great kit when it comes to fit, the only bad thing is the molded on RAM tape that should have been flat not raised and it ruins the realistic look it otherwise would have had. You can do better Tamiya
Thank you so much for your comment! Agreed that Tamiya is one of the best kit for me. I’m always impressed by its quality. Thanks also for the RAM information. I built F35A too, and good to know.
This is very old school modelling, no pre or post shading, no weathering, painting directly on sprues, weird semi gloss finish, exactly like hasegawa catalog models back in the nineties. You should check out Plasmo or Night Shift they're true masters at modern modelling.
Thank you so much for your comment and question. V-22 Osprey is not in my radar even though it looks so cool actually osprey is flying Maybe sometime in the future!
Hey Kaz, the model looks great! Another super looking F-35 to add to your collection :D. What sprue cutters do you use? They look very sharp and accurate. Great video, can't wait to see what you build next!
Thank you for your comment and question! I understand that panel line is RAM paint after main fuselage paint. I did apply clear vernish coat and let them dry for 24 hours because applying masking tape may damage the paint. I hope that answers your question. Please let me know if you have further questions!
Thank you for your comment and pointing out back ground noise. I film inside but may be some noise came from somewhere. I will watch out next time. Thank you again!!
I have a humble request that you build the ZVEZDA mig-27 flogger D, as I just got it as a surprise gift from my parents, but since this is my first set.... I have no idea how to build it.
Thank you so much for your comment and feedback! And congratulations on your first model! I do not have same model mig-17 flogger with you but I have one camouflage fighter jet, so let me go and prepare.
It is not exact the same model but I uploaded SU-27 camouflage. I hope it can be a little reference for your model. Please check if you have a time, thank you! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LItSmyCHjTs.htmlsi=xp92DARqXd0hbdd8
I am curious - at 39:19 the vertival stabiliser is fitted and I notice the marking of HMS Queen Elizabeth. The remainder of the aircraft is American marked. Does this mean the HMS QE is British operated but with a USA flight crew ?
Thank you for your comment and close look of the video. Appreciated it. That theme is cross deck operations on HMS queen Elizabeth on November 2021. Actually I am ashamed that I did not know that when I built this model. One of the viewer of the video told me. Thank you for pointing out anyway!
Thank you for your comment and feedback. You are right. It is too heavy to vertical land with those weapon and even half amount of fuel. But I built it in beast mode in the sake of appearance of model, thanks!
Sure! That is not cutting board. I just use normal poster board (like for elementary students) which is available at Walmart, Target or Michael’s. That brand is “heavyweights poster board Pen+Gear”. Any kind is ok I think. I use gross one rather than mat one. Please let me know if you have further questions!
Thank you so much for your comment and question. I would use Tamiya white, black, dark sea grey and gum metal as X-2 : X-1 : XF-54 : X-10 = 3 : 3 : 3 : 1. It depends on your preference how much grossly look after painting. By adding gun metal more percentages would be able to achieve that. Thank you!
@@platoki Thanks for your detailed answer, keep working ~~ I wanna build Hasegawa F35B in flight status, already done with one by vertical landing status before.
@allen7573 you are very welcome. Flight status is actually cool looking, very streamlined. I would need to get stand first 👍 Please let me know if you have any more questions thanks!
Would it be asking too much to leave your captions up for more than 3 secs? Loved the work but continually having to pause or even jump backwards to read your explanations was a huge pain the butt!
@vladimirlovato4192 it is a little rough operation but this Gollira glue does not harm paint. At least, Tamiya acrylic or AK color. Need to be careful because evaporated glue sometimes leave white residues, so need to dry soon or have to wipe off with alcohol if it happens. But it works and very strong. a.co/d/5KXwUQP
Thank you for your comment and again appliciated close look for my video. It was cross deck operations on HMS Queen Elizabeth, November 2021. It’s kind of shame that I didn’t know before building this model. One of the viewers pointed this out. Thank you for pointing out anyway!
Thank you so much for your comment and question. That song is called Yukyu no Toki Japanese song. It means “To the Eternity of Time”. Please let me know if you have any questions thanks!
Thank you for your question! That is “Tamiya Craft Bond - Water based type”. It becomes transparent after time and wouldn’t attack paint so easy to use. Please let me know if you have any questions!
@@platoki Oh, OK. I thought it was going to be about some loaner thing where the Marines had some planes and pilots stationed on our carrier for a while!
@@platoki It was a huge comic catastrophe for the government - we had this state of the art multi billion pound carrier and no aircraft to put on it. I seem to remember something about borrowing aircraft from the US until the ones we'd ordered were delivered. This was the Navy that was victorious at Trafalgar, but things have gone downhill since then!
@BenjWarrant I am kind of ashamed that I did not know when I go back to instruction, HMS decal was correct. It was cross deck operations on HMS Queen Elizabeth, November 2021. Thank you for pointing out anyway!
Thank you for your comment. Yes also the number of parts are amazingly a lot. If they prefer smaller numbers of parts, and shorter building time, 1/72 Tamiya might be a good option. Here is your reference thank you! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-V3dY9WM94po.htmlsi=EvS4kkvYZLnatZve
You’re very good and I enjoy watching people who are good, but I am also totally stunned by how good this Tamiya kit is, I can’t see how there could be any F 35 kit better than this
You did an amazing job! There's just one thing I wanted to point out. It's listed as a US Marines aircraft, but it's got the HMS Queen Elizabeth, a UK aircraft carrier on the tail at 39:21. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Queen_Elizabeth_(R08)
Thank you so much for your comment and appreciated your feedback . Yes it was mentioned by someone else too. I will keep in mind next time building the model, thank you again!👍
