I'm English. So do I. And I hope this comment posts because the one I put up a little while ago and which was there for some time has now disappeared. What is happening to RU-vid?
Chinese traditional music is so very beautiful. It plucks at the strings in my heart and makes me truly appreciate true music. China is such a great culture - it's history, it's music...
Quite agree, GiGi Petit. I'm coming to the view that Chinese traditional culture generally is probably the world's foremost. It has the richness of the western tradition but without the pretension and elitist tendency. And this piece of music I love partly because it's wonderful in itself, and partly because it's different from what we normally hear. It combines some of the usual Han elements that we're used to with strong Middle Eastern influences (see Liwei Guo's comment above.)
In the East Asian Cultural Region (vs. South Asian Cultural Region, Middle East C.R; European C.R, African C.R, Americas C .R. etc) people share lots of commons--history, culture, music, food, architecture etc
She is the master of romantic and sentimental erhu music player, leaving me breathless and in a state of astonishment everytime. Seeing her play is seeing perfection in action. Everyone loves you, Hongmei (Redplum).
This is one of my most cherished piece of music from beloved China. Ms Yu Hongmei playing Erhu, it is absolutely mesmerizing. Bravo, Bravo, Bravo!!! It goes right to my favourites!
wingchunexpert Dear loyal friend, I am not surprised to see you and I have the similar feelings towards this most beautiful piece of music from China. Although I was born in Beijing(we moved to Canada when I was 1 year old) I am not as well versed in traditional /popular Chinese song and music as people in China. However, I recognize the great songs and music from China. It is so nice to hear from you dear friend! Gene
Gene Emerson I have always loved the Chinese Erhu music. Yu and two others are considered as the three treasures of China. She teaches music at a an University in China. I love all her Erhu music. Nice to see and hear from you here dear Gene. I came to the US while still a kid and I still remember some of my favorite pieces from way before. Have a wonderful day. Wingy :)
Thses Chinese girls are amazing they love their traditional musical instruments which invented by their forefathers thousands years before and still up keeping these days too and musics of these musical instruments are extremely good. Best of luck Chinese girls.
This is our Asian's soul sound . I just am intoxicated with their breathtaking , unsurpassed and exquisite performance while moving . From Tokyo of the Land of the Rising Sun ♨️
Hurray! How superbly performed, and how seamlessly all three instruments’ parts are orchestrated together without missing a step! All three are superstars in their own right. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
this performance is super great! good thing i wasn't there because i would have been shouting in excitement and amazement! haha. seems so perfect but seems so alive and full of spirit.
The Erhu , a versatile Chinese classical musical instrument , unique in its own way, fully expresses the spirit of China in the form of music. I love you Ms Yuhongmei. (2of2)
