Chiba City, where Chiba Station is located, is the capital of Chiba Prefecture, with a population of about 980,000. It is within commuting distance of Tokyo, and there is a large downtown area around the station.
This video is a sequel to the previous video of the same Sobu Main Line, • 前面展望 総武本線市川→津田沼間 ＜Cabv... , and runs from the previous terminus, Tsudanuma Station, to Chiba Station. The Sobu Main Line has rapid and local lines, and the tracks have been parallel in the previous videos, but the local line ends at Chiba Station.
There are not many apartment buildings in the video, so it is clear that the area has developed slowly, but there are several high-rise apartment buildings around Inage Station along the way. Housing development has been carried out all at once in recent years.

Finally, I have included a photo of the ekiben "Tonkatsu Bento," a specialty of Chiba Station.
This is a very simple style of tonkatsu (fried pork, côtelette) on top of cooked rice, and it has become a long-selling item.

This is a system unique to Japanese railways, and at major stations across the country, vendors who frequent the station sell their own unique lunch packs, each with their own ingenuity. By including local specialties, they were able to create originality and provide food and enjoyment for people traveling by train for long periods of time.
Nowadays, trains are faster, stop at stations for shorter periods, and windows no longer open, so ekiben are not as popular as they once were. Rather, it seems that commuters often buy them for overtime or to eat after returning home.
Even so, popular ekiben vendors continue to sell them today, and they are loved by many people. If you visit Chiba Station, why not buy this? It can only be bought at Chiba Station.
