Because there is a flame below the stove it makes the alcohol boil even faster and the extra pressure forces the alcohol true the burn holes at a high pressure. I ones did the same with 2 beercan stoves on top of each other , it almost burnt down my kitchen because the top stove went out of control.
Hi, I was thinking of making such stove myself but in my opinion it's not very safe to use a stove made of two cans pressed together because of the possibility of blowing it up (the alcohol fumes pressure is high). You should better use a stove made of some kind of twisting can for example a can after airgun bullets.
