Is it really yellow ? She is using one of the top vanilla pod there is in the world. Eating that pod, means it keeps a family alive, across the globe. HK keep saying that, it is an international city. But has people put their money, and use such ingredients, and support these ingredients, in order to support an actual farm, from across the world ? A civilised society do that. No matter how much it costs. If people can afford to, and this lady can get her margin. Then owner happy, FARMER is also happy. HK once farmed too... and it lifted a family off poverty. I know, cos I was that child ! So thank you.. to whoever bought the vegetables from my grandfather... If you guys did not buy our veg, then nor would I.
Love her attitude and insistence on high quality food. I think given the cost of her ingredients, the prices seem reasonable. For those that thought the food was too expensive, remember if you pay something for peanuts, you get monkies!
I was going to say the same thing.i ate at her shop when she just first opened in charming garden.it was 20 years ago.i remember I went downstairs ordered a bowl of sweet soup it was $6.time flies.
I heard from Hong Kong friends that your Red Bean soup with old aged orange preserve skin are worthy the value. Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to try a bowl of it. But, I shall definitely try that Red Bean soup next time when I visit Hong Kong next year. God bless you 🙏.
