I am gonna go on a limb here and say this ship is a true survivor of war so many enemies destroyed that's why i love the names Yamato and musashi thank you for your video
The only problem I have is the enemy ships cant even damage the shiphull, and the yamato can easily destroy any of their ships and missiles. So why they are losing the war? Anyway I really enjoy the movie
Yamato's firepower are so strong is thanks to the Motion wave technology ! Before at the war, although they do have this tech, but it was incomplete !! Yamato's main armament, 480mm shock cannon which shoot a blue beam were before mounted on their older ship classes at the position of the Motion gun on Yamato, and used as a suicide last effort since it will deplete the ship's energy source !! While Yamato shoot those beam as a spamming method !! You can clearly see how different they are ! And also, the Missiles and Cosmo Torpedoes were nearly useless at the beginning of the war because their aiming system got interrupt by Gamilas jammer (which actually not really a jammer but just the energy wave emitting by their engine) because they use radar-base aiming ! On Yamato turn, those Missiles use the vision-base aiming system, so they basically chase the silhouette of ship by themself rather than guided by radar ! So it's not that the Missiles in the early stage of the war are useless, they just can't track the target ! And how enemy weapons can not damage Yamato ? Because Yamato were not a mass production ship, but a specialized Dreadnought battle ship !! This class were build to take hit and survive ! The materials used to build Yamato are among the rarest through out the entire Solar system, of course the hull could be seriously tanky !
I hae just one problem with all this. The Space Battleship Yamato is about the same size as the classic Starship Enterprise, right? But with all the missiles and shells she keeps spamming, not to mention her fighters and all their munitions, she ought to be at least as big as the Enterprise-E from the movies!
You realize that this is a “battleship” that is flying in space. Kind of comparing something that is more sci-fi to something that is typical Japanese style entertainment.
@@Simon-oq6ds Pardon my geekery! But we old-time Trekkies can get like that, seeing as how we literally quote chapter and verse from our Tech Manuals on what the Enterprise can and cannot do. So it kinda gravels us when other franchises -- which we often like -- can't be as exact.
Battleship Yamato length 239 meters, width 38.9 meters, displacement 65,000 tons. TOS enterprise length 288 meters, 127 meters in diameter and weighs 190,000 tons. Yamato had the following armament when it was sunk in 1945 - 3x triple 46cm guns, 2x triple 15.5cm guns, 12x twin 12.7cm DP guns, 162x 2.5cm AA guns, 4x 13.2cm AA machine guns. No missiles in ww2 obviously.
