Here in the US, a teppan yaki chef does some tricks--flipping a shrimp, make a volcano made with an onion that shoots up fire, blows a choo choo train whisle, etc and cooks fast while he jokes with cusomers, but it is sooo loud that I can't hear what my friends say. I like it better when a chef focuses on cooking like this chef in this video. It looks more classy and more professional. 🍚🍚🍤🍱❤
They did some monkey tricks like that to gain popularity and get known to people quickly for their sales in the US because they thought regular teppanyaki didn't sell there. I think it was Devon Aoiki 's father , a former popular Japanese wrestler that made a lot of money in Japan and started business in the US
