What's the time? Where's the place? Why the line? Where's the race? just in time, I see your face Toujours gai, mon cher You are the star that greets the sun Shine across my distant sky when night is done You'll be the moon to light my way Toujours gai, mon cher It's not too late to start again It's not too late though when you go away the skies will grey again In the time that remains,I will stay Toujours gai, mon cher No regret for the light that will not shine No regret, but don't forget, the flame was mine and in another place, in another time Toujours gai, mon cher It's not too late to start again It's not too late though when you go away the skies will grey again In the time that remains, I will stay Toujours gai, mon cher Halfway measures go unsung Take your pleasures while you're young Just remember, when they're done, Toujours gai, mon cher

This is one of the most lovely songs I've ever heard. Janis Ian has always sung with a real melancholy passion. The arrangement is outstanding. So how did this end up being the theme for one of the most bleak movies ever?!? It would be like having "Love Story" as the theme song for "The Day After."
great amazing movie.good old film school. you must watch this movie. keeps you in suspense until the very end. extremely sad and traumatic. shows how fragile life is when everything around you disappears, literally. People's greatest treasure is other people. we are all equal. all beautiful in the image of God. everyone contributes to this vast chain of life. Today, everything that is in this film we already have in reality. We should come to our senses as soon as possible and stop crazy politicians who no longer have the mandate to make decisions for us. our lives are the most precious and everything else has no right to threaten them, including the crazy people in power in the west
