Well regarding Reishi mushroom (靈芝), although Chinese literature or pharmacopoeia may not have mentioned, there are actually journals / researches which state that it can cause insomnia in some people and people in the west actually report similar side effects too. It may cause diarrhoea, nausea as well depending on your constitution. So, do your own research before taking any supplements. I tried different brands of Reishi purchased in HK and my body simply can't take it.
