Dear friends
In my last episode I sang praises and worshiped Singapore, however for the sequel I’m going to poke fun at the Garden City. Please forgive me if I offended anyone. What damage can it do since the first episode was not popular with the audience anyway? Perhaps the general Malaysian public aren’t in a hurry to visit a country that holds a currency that’s 3.2 times higher than us, hence no interests on what Singapore has to offer. Unfortunately, there aren’t many places we can visit to enjoy a good exchange for the Ringgit since it has depreciated so drastically. The best way is to spend your money is within Malaysia, so let’s go out and support our street food. Thanks and see you in the next.

Malaysia and Singapore are neighbors and will remain so no matter how we see each other. We share common heritage and will have the same destiny in future. For most of us, we have no better place to live except Malaysia and Singapore. Let's cherish what we have and appreciate the beauty of this part of the world. Elmo Lee, just keep going for your love.

I just discovered a good and delicious chicken rice at Hougang near Block 106. Correct location is the coffeeshop behind the bus stop (services 25, 55 etc). Next stall to it sells Hokkein Prawn Noodles which is also delicious at $4 with big prawns. The chicken rice stall also had ginger sauce which is a rarity and free soup which you have to dispenser yourself from a side container and you can add, spring onions, black sauce self service.

The Stop-at-2 was a misguided policy, one of the few failures among Lee Kuan Yew’s illustrious record. However, I don’t think it contributed to Singapore’s current low birth rate. There are many countries without any population control and yet they too suffer from low birth rate. It is simply a characteristic of any developed nation.

I'm a Hainanese Chicken rice fan and when I saw that stall in Maxwell Food Court..my memories flashed back to those days that I had worked in S'pore..early 80s. Thanks so much for this, Elmo bro..Agree a lot on what you mentioned about S'pore. I would have stayed back too had I known the situation that we have in Bolehland. S'pore quality of life is so much better and ahead of us. It's difficult now to enjoy the food there based on the current exchange but I really did enjoy the hawkerfare there. For satay, I prefer Malaysia’s version any day of the week. Malaysian satay has a mix of fatty and lean meat in each stick whereas Singapore satay is mostly lean and a bit tough to chew at times. The sauce which carries the most weight has only one winner and that is Malaysian satay sauce.

Absolutely true in regards to your comments about the opportunity in MY over SG. In SG, you'll be great if you're looking for excelling in your 9to6 job. In MY, you have greater opportunities as the domestic market is bigger and mostly undeveloped. Also, you do not need to earn as high to be in the T20 in MY, but in SG, that would take way higher earning power to even reach the low T20 . In essence, SG is great for low to mid end job seekers. Hear, hear, likewise as the saying goes, "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder," they should also say taste is in the feelings of the taste buds. The curry puff honestly, doesn't look good from the video. When you broke it into half, the crust was kinda dry from the looks. Reminds me of the roadside rm2 for 3 curry puffs kind. And the interior filling hold together as a big lump. The taste might be good, but from the looks, it doesn't passed my scoring. A good curry puff at this level would be expected to have "crusty" crust almost like croissant. And the filling should stick on the crust inside. Try the one in midvalley, Homi.
